Gurugram’s Dandiya Under the Stars Draws Reported 10,000-Plus Crowd as Organisers Plan Larger Edition

The 17 October cultural event at HUDA Gymkhana Club mixed traditional dance, performances and food stalls, with Ace Hospitality and Mrig Sight Media looking to 2027.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Organisers say Dandiya Under the Stars attracted more than 10,000 attendees in Gurugram on 17 October 2026.
  • Ace Hospitality led the event, working with Mrig Sight Media on communications and promotion.
  • The HUDA Gymkhana Club programme paired Dandiya and Garba with live entertainment and food stalls.
  • The partners are considering an expanded 2027 edition, but no date or programme has been confirmed.

At a festival gathering that brought traditional dance and large-scale entertainment together in Gurugram, more than 10,000 people attended Dandiya Under the Stars 2026 on 17 October, according to its organisers. The Navratri celebration took place at the Library Ground of HUDA Gymkhana Club in Sector 29, with Ace Hospitality organising the event in collaboration with media and communications partner Mrig Sight Media.

The open-air programme combined Dandiya and Garba dancing with live entertainment, music and food stalls. Its event listing advertised performances by Shiva Choudhary, Alisha Arora and Dheeraj Bhandari, alongside a DJ and traditional dhol music. The organisers also identified consumer electronics company Vivo among the event’s sponsors.

The format gave the evening several dimensions beyond the dance floor: guests could combine the cultural celebration with stage performances and food options at the same venue. For the event and hospitality businesses involved, it also brought together live entertainment, visitor services, brand sponsorship and promotional partnerships.

Rahul Ranjan, director of Mrig Sight Media, welcomed the turnout and credited the collaboration with Ace Hospitality for the result. He said the partners were pleased by the response and thanked sponsors, guests and other participants who supported the celebration. The attendance figure was supplied by the organisers and has not been independently audited.

The venue has hosted earlier Dandiya celebrations involving the same businesses. At a 2023 event featuring singer Shibani Kashyap, Ace Hospitality’s co-founder said more than 7,000 people had attended, according to contemporaneous reporting. While neither figure establishes an independently verified attendance total, the organisers’ 2026 estimate is higher than the one reported three years earlier.

Looking ahead, Ace Hospitality and Mrig Sight Media say they want to stage a larger edition in 2027, with an expanded programme and additional brand partnerships. They have not yet provided a confirmed date, venue or detailed programme. The next edition will show whether the two partners can turn this year’s reported turnout into a larger, repeatable cultural event for Gurugram.
