Denver Arts Week Returns with Nearly 300 Events and Free Museum Night November 6–15

The 20th annual celebration spans city galleries, art districts and cultural venues, with First Friday walks and free evening museum admission opening the ten-day program.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Denver Arts Week runs November 6–15, 2026, with nearly 300 events planned across the city.
  • First Friday Art Walks begin November 6 in several creative neighborhoods.
  • Free Night at the Museums takes place November 7 from 5 to 10 p.m., with free shuttles linking selected sites.
  • The wider program includes performances, gallery events, cultural activities and visitor offers.

Denver Arts Week will return from November 6 to 15, 2026, bringing nearly 300 arts and cultural events across Colorado’s capital and giving visitors ten days to explore the city’s galleries, museums, performance spaces and creative neighborhoods. Now in its 20th year, the citywide celebration pairs neighborhood art walks and free museum admission with live performance, exhibitions, comedy and literary programming.

Organized by VISIT DENVER, the annual festival stretches beyond a single venue. Its opening weekend provides two especially accessible ways to take part: an evening devoted to local galleries on Friday, November 6, followed by late-night museum visits on Saturday, November 7.

Art districts open their doors on November 6

The First Friday Art Walks invite residents and travelers into studios and galleries across Denver’s creative districts. Participating areas include the 40 West Arts District, the Art District on Santa Fe, the River North (RiNo) Art District and the Tennyson Berkeley area, among others.

Visitors can meet artists, see work displayed in the spaces where it is made or exhibited, and purchase original pieces. Because the walks take place in several neighborhoods, they also provide an opportunity to discover different parts of the city through its local cultural scene.

Free museum evening expands access

On Saturday, November 7, Free Night at the Museums will offer admission to participating institutions from 5 to 10 p.m. Sites listed for the evening include the Denver Art Museum, Black American West Museum, History Colorado Center, Forney Museum of Transportation, Dinosaur Ridge, The Museum for Black Girls and Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum.

Free shuttle services will connect multiple participating museums, allowing attendees to plan visits to more than one location. Visitors should review the published shuttle routes and individual museum requirements before heading out, as not all sites are on the official shuttle network and some special exhibitions or experiences can carry separate ticketing conditions.

Ten days of culture and visitor offers

Beyond the opening weekend, the program is expected to encompass music, dance, theater, comedy, open-gallery events and literary talks. This breadth makes Denver Arts Week both a cultural event for local audiences and a potential anchor for an autumn city break, with different activities spread throughout the ten-day period.

The festival also publishes arts-related visitor offers, which may include reduced museum admissions, city-tour discounts and two-for-one performing-arts tickets. Availability and booking conditions depend on the individual offer.

According to VISIT DENVER, the 2026 celebration is supported by Denver Arts & Venues, the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District, CBS Colorado, Downtown Denver Partnership, Colorado Public Radio, Denverite, 5280 Magazine and Westword. An up-to-date event directory and further visitor details are available through the official Denver Arts Week calendar.
