Qatar Brings Culture, Motorsport and a 40-Partner Tourism Delegation to WTM London 2026

Visit Qatar’s pavilion at ExCeL London will pair trade meetings with immersive destination displays and a preview of major sporting and cultural events.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Visit Qatar will exhibit at World Travel Market London from 3 to 5 November 2026 with a 40-partner delegation.
  • The Qatar Pavilion at Stand S8-210 will feature immersive displays, traditional crafts and a Formula 1-themed experience.
  • Hayya Platform and Qatar Calendar will participate alongside hotels, resorts and destination management companies.
  • Featured events include the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026, Art Basel Qatar and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.

From pearl-diving traditions and Arabic calligraphy to a Formula 1-themed experience, Qatar is preparing a broad introduction to its visitor offering at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026. The destination will be represented by Visit Qatar and 40 tourism partners at the trade exhibition, which runs from 3 to 5 November at ExCeL London.

The delegation brings together hotels, resorts, destination management companies and tourism organisations, giving international travel buyers and industry professionals access to a range of businesses involved in planning and delivering trips to Qatar. Visit Qatar says the 2026 event marks its 12th consecutive appearance at WTM London since 2014, underscoring the exhibition’s role in its international trade outreach.

A pavilion combining trade discussions with destination experiences

Located at Stand S8-210, the Qatar Pavilion will serve both as a meeting point for potential commercial partners and as a showcase for the country’s attractions, cultural heritage and events. The Hayya Platform and Qatar Calendar will also have a presence, highlighting their respective visitor-facing and events offerings.

Rather than relying exclusively on brochures and presentations, the pavilion will include an Immersive Room introducing landscapes, landmarks and cultural experiences in Qatar. A Photo Booth will feature destination landmarks, while the Qatar F1 Experience will bring the country’s motorsport offering into the exhibition space.

Traditional crafts and hospitality will form another part of the display. Visitors will be able to explore sword craftsmanship, Arabic calligraphy and Qatar’s pearl-diving heritage. Planned hospitality touches include dates, date ice cream, Arabic sweets and Arabic coffee, providing a culinary complement to the cultural programme.

Sport and arts events feature in Qatar’s travel pitch

Major events are another central part of the destination’s presentation. Through Qatar Calendar, the pavilion will spotlight a programme that includes the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026, MotoGP, the Doha Marathon, Art Basel Qatar and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027. Concerts, festivals and food-led activities, including the Qatar International Food Festival, are also among the experiences to be promoted.

For travel trade visitors, that combination offers possible angles for event-led itineraries alongside more conventional leisure, cultural and hospitality products. Visit Qatar’s participation is designed to connect destination suppliers with overseas buyers and media while presenting reasons to travel beyond any single landmark or attraction.

The wider exhibition brings destinations and tourism businesses together for sourcing, networking and industry discussions. The event organiser confirms that WTM London 2026 takes place on 3–5 November, while ExCeL London provides visitor and venue information.

Additional information about the country’s tourism initiatives is available from Qatar Tourism. At WTM, Visit Qatar’s immediate objective is to bring its diverse tourism suppliers and visitor experiences together in one place for the international travel trade.
