October 19, 2026 | History’s biggest names have been called up for active duty. No Deadlines Studio is excited to announce that Gear Up Einstein!, the co-op strategy roguelite where historical figures become soldiers and battle across history, launches into Early Access on Steam on November 6th, alongside a brand-new trailer.
The demo is also part of Steam Next Fest, running October 19 to 26, with a major update that adds new core systems and reworks much of the content.
How It Plays
Gear Up Einstein! is a co-op roguelite where every mission is a fresh run. Build a squad of historical figures, kit them out with gear between fights, and send them into a string of auto battles across history.
What’s New in the Demo
Three patches have landed since April. Here’s what’s changed.
The Crossroad Update
Between battles, your squad will hit a fork in the road five times per run. Choose where to go next and trigger an event themed around the era you’re in, from instant rewards to twists that change the next fight.
The Divergence Update
Every mission bends history a little further out of shape. The more it bends, the more likely you are to find items and enemies from other eras turning up where they shouldn’t. Even the Crossroads can diverge now.
Leaderboards
Beat the final battle and the invasion begins: a gauntlet of extra levels where every enemy you take down counts towards your score. See how your squad stacks up against the world, or just your friends, and inspect any entry to see the team and gear that beat you. Leaderboards reset on October 19, so everyone starts Next Fest fresh.
Gadgets
Your squad’s nuclear-powered machine charges up as you fight and builds a random sci-fi gadget to use in battle. Every gadget now hits harder than before.
