The psychological survival horror game from Furistic Studio and Kitsundie Tales will release its playable demo at Steam Scream V Fest.

PENANCE, the upcoming psychological survival horror game developed by Furistic Studio and published by Kitsundie Tales, will launch its playable demo on October 26, at Steam Scream V Fest, giving players an opportunity to experience the game during the Halloween-themed Steam event.

The demo will be available on Steam and will feature English as its only supported language. However, given that the game is gaining some traction in other countries, PENANCE full is planned to include additional languages, including German, French, Spanish (Latin American and European), and Portuguese (Brazilian and European).

Demo Remains Available Until February

The demo will remain available throughout Steam Scream V Fest and until the next Steam Next Fest, scheduled for February 2027. During this period, the development team will collect and review player feedback, using community insights to guide improvements and further polish the game ahead of its full release. 

Players are encouraged to report any issues they discover or any feedback, via form available on the game’s menu, or directly on Discord server.

What about the full version?

PENANCE is a psychological survival horror game developed by Furistic Studio and published by Kitsundie Tales. The game follows Calen, a former ranger navigating a disturbing and dangerous world that was supposed to save humanity. However, something went wrong, and now players must face the creatures that come out at night while trying to uncover the truth behind this place.

The full game is currently planned for release in late February 2027, following Steam Next Fest. In the meantime, the team is working hard to deliver a polished experience, with a strong focus on narrative immersion, atmosphere, and smooth gameplay mechanics, ensuring that the different elements of the game come together to create a cohesive and engaging experience.
