Bucharest, Romania  — 19 October, 2026 —  Indie dev Half Games has released the demo for their debut title, Half Grip, already achieving 100,000 wishlists. Half Grip is a one-handed combat racer that combines high-speed driving, roguelike progression, and high-stakes vehicular combat. The demo is available now on Steam and available to wishlist now.

Players must steer, shoot, reload, change gears, and fend off armed rivals, all while racing across atmospheric tracks with a gritty, pixel-art look. With only one hand to manage the controls, staying on the road is challenging enough. Surviving the deadly competition is another matter.

Half Grip combines arcade-style action with more realistic driving mechanics, changing road conditions, and a range of weapons and upgrades. Players will need to get to grips with the controls, adapt to each race, and decide when to push ahead or play it safe.

Races also offer opportunities to earn money, try different vehicle builds, and upgrade your ride to suit your playstyle. Whether you prefer drifting through corners, taking hits in a heavily armoured vehicle, or relying on speed and precision, your setup can make all the difference. Roguelike progression and branching routes add variety to each run.

The Early Access release planned for later this year, is also aiming to introduce Boss Battles, Multiplayer PvP, and Co-op modes, including a pilot/co-pilot mode.
