I Want to Play the Villain!

The plot thickens in Triomatica Games’ theatre-themed logic puzzler.

October 19, 2026 | Triomatica Games, the award-winning Ukrainian studio behind Boxville, is raising the curtain on act two. The Steam demo for I Want to Play the Villain!, its theatre-themed logic puzzle game, now includes Chapter 2 to celebrate its starring role in Steam Next Fest, running October 19 to 26.

The previous demo covered Chapter 1 only. Chapter 2 doubles the demo’s runtime, ramping up the challenge with a cast that’s harder to please and giving players a picture of what’s to come in the full game. Chapter 1 and its 18 challenges are still there for anyone yet to see the show.

I Want to Play the Villain! is heading to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in Q1 2027. Villain!, a free standalone version of Chapter 1, is also available to download now on iOS and Android.

A Story You Rearrange
I Want to Play the Villain! is a theatre-themed logic puzzle game where every character on stage has their own personality, and it’s up to you to arrange the cast so the show actually works.

Give Every Actor Their Perfect Role
Every actor has their own wishes, ambitions, fears, and favorite roles. Rearrange the cast, switch costumes, and change the story to make everyone happy on stage. Give an actor their dream role, pair them with the right partner, or keep them away from situations they fear.

Every Chapter, a New Puzzle
Explore unique chapters, each with its own setting, characters, mechanics, and story. A single change can transform the entire performance.
