That familiar We Were Here setup is back, but this time things feel… different. Some mysteries are waiting to be solved. Others would rather remain hidden.

In We Were Here Tomorrow, two players wake up trapped inside the mysterious Norček Industries facility. They are separated, each seeing different parts of the world and finding different pieces of the story. To make progress, they have to talk to each other, share what they can see, and solve puzzles together.

The game transports the series into a retro-futuristic world inspired by an imagined 1980s. Norček Industries is full of strange technology, failed experiments, missing researchers, and plenty of unanswered questions for the players to uncover.

Players take on different roles and each Explorer has their own tools and abilities. Puzzles involve time, gravity, space, and everything in between. Neither player has the full picture, so listening to your partner is imperative to solving the puzzle in front of you.

A new story for the We Were Here series

The story for We Were Here Tomorrow was written by award-winning author Claire North, and features a new cast of voice actors, with acclaimed British actress Sophie Okonedo, Connor Colquhoun (Cdawg), Boris Hiestand and Elena Saurel all involved.

For Creative Director Martín Mittner and the team at Total Mayhem Games, the goal was to build on what players love about the We Were Here series while giving them something new and bold to discover.

The outcome is a richer story with more NPC’s to talk to, resulting in a beautiful adventure built around the heart of the We Were Here series: two people trying to work things out together.

Nearly ten years of We Were Here

The original We Were Here launched in 2017. Since then, the series has grown to five games, won multiple awards, and reached more than 25 million players worldwide.

With We Were Here Tomorrow, Total Mayhem Games is opening the doors to a new setting, a new mystery, and a new set of puzzles.

And this time, players on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S can play together through crossplay from launch.

And for the first time in the series, We Were Here Tomorrow also features voice acting in additional languages, including Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (LATAM).

We Were Here Tomorrow Key Features:

  • A shared adventure: When fate takes an unexpected turn, two Explorers find themselves trapped inside a mysterious facility. With only each other to rely on, they must uncover its secrets and decide what Tomorrow will hold.
  • Asymmetrical co-op puzzling: No two Explorers experience the facility the same way. Trust your partner, communicate through your walkie-talkies, and combine your unique perspectives to solve puzzles that challenge the rules of time, gravity, and space.
  • Two players, two distinct roles: You and your partner each have a different role to play, with your own high-tech tool at your disposal. Work together and use your equipment creatively to overcome obstacles that neither of you could face alone.
  • A mystery in an imagined 80s future: Explore Norček Industries and uncover the secrets behind its experiments and missing research team. Journey through a retro-futuristic world brought to life by striking environments and a nostalgic synthwave soundtrack.

Grab a partner, pick up the walkie-talkie, and see if you both can figure out what happened at Norček Industries.
