Duet Night Abyss

As well as a new character, this latest content drop for the game adds witch-themed outfits, anniversary events, and many quality-of-life improvements to the action-RPG

20 October 2026 – Pan Studio and Hero Games have just released the “Towards the Dawn” update for their hybrid action RPG, Duet Night Abyss. This update adds Rhythm: Flamewrought, a fresh Electro incarnation of the popular character Rhythm, as well as exclusive story quests, co-op boss challenges, and even more quality of life improvements.

After dramatic events cause her to question her previous life, the playable character Rhythm is forced to reinvent herself as Rhythm: Flamewrought. This Electro character uses both a Katana and an Assault Rifle, both of which she weilds with unnerving precision. Focusing her attacks with her precise sniping ability, she can charge her bullets and, when combined with her powerful electric powers, unleash powerful lightning attacks on her enemies. 

Players will be able to get "Rhythm: Flamewrought" by collecting her from the limited-time Immersive Theatre reward pool along with the Granade Lancher Blessed Burden, obtain her for free via Covert Commission, or buy her directly from the in-game shop. 

“Towards the Dawn” also sees both new and returning cosmetics. Rhythm: Flamewrought is getting a witch-themed Veil In Shadows Myriad outfit, and matching weapon skins give her a stylish, seasonal look. The spooky Treats Galore collection will launch on 10 November, adding pumpkin-inspired outfits for Lisbell, Truffle, and Filbert. Two popular outfits also return: Su Yi's mecha-themed Volant Viridity and the zombie-themed Fading Echoes Adrift. The Civic Ordinance uniform collection is getting new variants for several characters.

New story content and special, time-limited, seasonal activities are also adding more lore to the story of Duet Night Abyss. Players can join the The Flame She'll Be side story event to uncover secrets about the Sixth Legion. To celebrate the game's progress, the Anniversary Splendor event and other limited-time activities will offer players a variety of rewards, including up to 20 Prismatic Hourglasses, progression materials, and exclusive anniversary rewards. Players can also team up for the Nocturnal Evermore co-op boss challenge from 2 November to 22 November.

Finally, the update also delivers quality of life improvements, including:  

  • Buttons can be personalised to provide the perfect layout for every player.
  • Players can now dismantle Geniemons to better manage their collections.
  • Pocket Phoxhunter can now idle on PC, so that players can take on commissions and carry out forging in the background.
  • The Noctoyager Manual dungeons give players additional drops of gold-tier Demon Wedges to make farming more efficient.
  • Additional customisation allows players to create personalised player profiles and add Guild emblems.
