Merchant Miles
The cozy travelling-merchant game about buying low, selling high, and reading the market heads to Steam Next Fest from October 19th to 26th, ahead of its February 2027 launch
19th October 2026 | Solo developer Tyco of Typical Tuesday Games is bringing Merchant Miles, a travelling merchant game about chasing rumours, haggling with customers, and outsmarting rival traders, to Steam Next Fest: October 2026. The free demo is available to play on Steam now, alongside the game's Official Trailer.
Built around the simple thrill of a good deal, Merchant Miles asks players to figure out what each town needs before their rivals get there first, then load up the cart and hit the road.
A Great Merchant Knows Their Market
In Merchant Miles, every town presents a new opportunity to make a fortune, provided players know where to look. From reading the latest market news and tracking shifting prices to navigating new laws and decrees, players must stay one step ahead of an ever-changing economy. With limited coins and cart space, every purchase counts, whether that means stocking up on reliable goods or taking a gamble on something that could fetch a higher price elsewhere.
Once in town, it’s time to set up shop and put those negotiating skills to work. Players can set their prices, haggle with customers, and decide when to take a profit or push for a better deal. Every trading day brings new lessons, opportunities, and the occasional costly mistake.
A Game About Being Confidently Wrong
There's no single right way to build a business in Merchant Miles. A bad purchase can take up valuable cargo space for days, losing freshness and getting harder to sell. A smart trade, on the other hand, can open up an entirely new route.
With no single route to success, players are free to build their business their way, all within a detailed economy shaped by developer Tyco’s background in economics.
Try The Free Demo During Steam Next Fest
Merchant Miles is part of Steam Next Fest: October 2026, running October 19th to 26th. The free demo, which went live on Steam on October 5th, gives players a first look at the core trading loop: buying stock, planning routes between distinct towns, managing permits and expenses, and running a physical market stall.
Players can download the demo directly from the Merchant Miles Steam page, and wishlist the game to be notified the moment it launches.
Feedback from Next Fest will feed straight into development, with Tyco planning to refine the economy, improve clarity, and expand towns and trade opportunities alongside the community.
