Goodbye Seoul tells a heartrending story of a desperate escape in a devastated urban landscape
SOUTH KOREA – Oct. 19, 2026 – A tale of survival against impossible odds comes to Steam Next Fest: October 2026 Edition. Today, NEOWIZ announced that a demo of Goodbye Seoul will be available to play during Steam Next Fest from Monday, Oct. 19 through Monday, Oct. 26. Developed by JINO Games, Goodbye Seoul is a narrative puzzle-adventure game set in near-future Seoul.
As an asteroid hurtles toward Earth, protagonist Rion desperately searches for evidence of a space evacuation project to save humanity. With the clock ticking, she must confront both the ruins of civilization and her inner self to survive. The game focuses on exploration, environmental puzzles and interpersonal relationships to craft a cathartic, meaningful journey.
The latest demo builds upon the previous version, incorporating player feedback to enhance the controls and design. Maintaining the heart and flow of the original gameplay, this update expands the playable area with brand-new puzzles and greater immersion through refined art, new backgrounds and sound effects. Near-apocalyptic Seoul is given even more life with enhanced 2.5D pixel art, culminating in a hauntingly beautiful landscape for players to wander.
"Through the previous beta test, we learned from players’ initial impressions and found places to improve." Kim Jin-ho, CEO of JINO Games, said. "We hope that those who played the earlier demo will check out these new additions, and we’re committed to delivering an even better experience by the time of the official release.”
Available in Korean, English and Simplified Chinese, the new demo of Goodbye Seoul launches today on Steam Next Fest. To stay updated on its full launch, wishlist Goodbye Seoul on Steam.
