Croak
The toad-ally awesome platformer will also come to Game Pass day one
MONTRÉAL (Oct. 20, 2026) Prepare your tongue for one heck of a workout when the beautifully hand-drawn 2D platformer Croak pinballs onto the scene in March 2027. Developer WoodRunner Games announced today during the ID@XBOX Showcase that the adorably chubby Frog Prince would leap onto XBOX and PC as a day one Game Pass title with a brand new trailer showing more of the antics our amphibious friend will get up to. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2616540/Croak/

Bounce into action as the charmingly chubby, yet surprisingly agile, Frog Prince. Using his stretchy tongue to launch himself, the Prince is able to grapple, climb, launch and even bounce around Croak’s hand-crafted environments like a pinball to navigate his way through dozens of increasingly dangerous levels that require just as much puzzle solving skills as platforming mastery to conquer. And yeah, of course, there’s a boss fight against a beaver pulling off sick tricks on a BMX bike.
Featuring detailed hand-drawn animations from artists who previously worked on Cuphead and Rick & Morty, every frame of Croak is a delight to behold, yet even more satisfying to play. Each stage presents a new test of your frog’s platforming skills. His tongue techniques are easy to learn, but mastering them is sure to make you croak.
With multiple biomes to explore, coins to collect, secrets to find, ultra-hard difficulty levels to test your skills against and more, there’s almost too much Croak for even the Prince to swallow…almost.
