Vadzo Imaging Positions Falcon-521CRS: Onsemi AR0521 Color USB 3.2 Gen1 Camera with Low Noise Imaging for Pedestrian Safety Surveillance

onsemi

The Falcon-521CRS is an AR0521 Color USB 3.2 Gen 1 Camera built on the Onsemi AR0521 sensor, and Vadzo is positioning it for pedestrian safety surveillance. Watching a crosswalk is harder than it looks. People cross at dusk and in the dark, headlights sweep across the scene, street lamps create bright spots, and the pedestrians who matter most are often the darkest objects in the frame. A noisy camera hides them, and an exposure set by the headlights loses them. The Falcon-521CRS pairs large 2.2 micron pixels with low-noise imaging, a high-performance ISP, and ROI based auto exposure that meters on the crosswalk instead of the lights. It streams Full HD and 5MP color video in YUYV or MJPEG over a standard USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable and complies with UVC, so it opens without a custom driver. Designed for integrators building pedestrian safety monitoring and analytics, it supplies a clean, correctly exposed picture of the people at the crossing.

Pathology devices judge tissue by color and detail, and they photograph specimens, slides, and labels that sit at different heights and distances. A fixed lens must be refocused by hand each time, and a camera with weak color processing changes what a reviewer sees. As a 13MP Autofocus MIPI CSI-2 Camera, the Bolt-1335CRA focuses automatically from 100mm to infinity with a voice coil motor, finishes the image in an on-board ISP, and connects through 2-lane or 4-lane adapter boards. It supports the RK3588 and the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, Orin NX, and AGX Orin platforms, so an instrument maker can choose compute separately from the camera. Designed for device makers building pathology and life science instruments, it supplies sharp, consistently colored images without manual focus.

A small drone at long range occupies very few pixels, flies against a bright sky, and may arrive at dusk or after dark, so the camera that watches it is limited by resolution, contrast, and light all at once. The Falcon-2020CRS puts more pixels on a distant target, keeps excellent response in the near infrared at 850nm and 940nm for illuminated night work, and offers eDR and HDR modes for bright skies and dark subjects. Wake on motion lets a remote node rest between events. The module connects over a standard USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable and carries an S-Mount lens holder. Designed for integrators building counter-drone systems, it supplies the visual layer that confirms and tracks what other sensors report.

Monitoring sites ask a camera to cover a wide area, to see in dim light, to cope with headlights and bright windows, and to keep working for months. A 5MP frame covers more ground than a 2MP frame, large 2.2 micron pixels gather light after dark, and HDR keeps bright and dark regions readable in the same picture. As a 5MP Ethernet Camera and an AR0521 Color Ethernet Camera, the Innova-521CRS connects over a single network cable, complies with ONVIF so standard video software can use it, supports PTP synchronization so several units share a time base, and finishes the picture in an onboard ISP. For monitoring that needs sharp stills of moving subjects, the sensor can also work with an external mechanical shutter. Designed for integrators building around-the-clock monitoring, it brings coverage, sensitivity, and standards support together.
