Jet2 extends Leeds Bradford Tunisia flights into winter after early booking surge
The airline and tour operator is keeping its exclusive Enfidha-Hammamet route running longer in autumn 2027 and restarting it from February 2028 as demand for Tunisia grows across Yorkshire.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Jet2 is extending its Tunisia programme from Leeds Bradford Airport beyond the original Summer 2027 schedule, with weekly Saturday flights to Enfidha-Hammamet continuing until 27 November 2027.
- The exclusive route from Leeds Bradford will restart on 12 February 2028, giving Yorkshire travellers more options for October and February half-term breaks as well as winter sunshine trips.
- Leeds Bradford Airport said the move follows strong demand from early bookers after Jet2 launched Tunisia for Summer 2027.
- Jet2 said its wider Tunisia extension across five UK airport bases adds more than 32,000 seats overall, underlining growing interest in the destination.
Jet2 is stretching its Tunisia programme from Leeds Bradford Airport into the shoulder and winter-sun season after strong early demand convinced the airline and tour operator to keep the route flying beyond its original summer schedule.
According to an update published by Leeds Bradford Airport, the exclusive service from Yorkshire to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport will now continue through 27 November 2027, before returning on 12 February 2028 and operating onward into the Summer 2028 season. Flights are scheduled weekly on Saturdays.
The change gives travellers from across Yorkshire a longer booking window for Tunisia, a destination Jet2 only placed on sale in June for Summer 2027. The airport said the extension responds to demand from customers seeking sunshine breaks outside the peak summer period, while also offering families more options around school holidays including the October and February half-term breaks.
Tunisia gains a longer season from Leeds Bradford
For Leeds Bradford passengers, the announcement means holidays to Tunisia will no longer end at the close of October. The earlier plan had scheduled operations until 30 October 2027, but the extended programme keeps the route available deeper into autumn and then brings it back ahead of late winter travel demand.
Jet2 said holidaymakers using the route can choose from resorts including Hammamet, Yasmine Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui, Sousse, Skanes and Mahdia. The company has positioned Tunisia as a year-round leisure option built around beaches, cultural sites and historic attractions, giving the North African destination a stronger profile in the Yorkshire outbound market.
In comments released with the announcement, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said the response to the Summer 2027 launch had been strong and that the company was expanding the programme to meet demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to secure winter sunshine holidays early.
The Leeds Bradford move is part of a broader Jet2 extension across its Tunisia network. In a separate company announcement, the airline said the expanded programme adds more than 32,000 seats in total from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted, reflecting wider momentum behind Tunisia as a leisure destination for UK travellers.
