- Dataclysm, a retro pixel-art trading card game set inside an abandoned PC, launches free demo for Steam Next Fest
Press release
Turin, Italy, 20/10/2026 – Independent studio Pet The Dog has released the free demo of Dataclysm, a retro pixel-art trading card game, as part of Steam Next Fest.
Deep inside a long-forgotten PC, fragments of code and half-written program lines wage war for control of the Motherboard. From swarming Sandbags to monstrous Dragons, every archetype brings its own distinct playstyle, and every card adds another piece to the story of this decaying digital world.
The demo is free to play now on Steam. The full game will feature both online PvP and a single-player mode at launch.
Key features
- 128 cards at launch, with another 128 planned for future updates
- More than 10 archetypes, from the small and swarmy Sandbags to the ravenous Dragons and the carefree Undead
- A distinctive pixel-art style created by a team of more than five artists
- Deep world lore that unfolds across every single card
Availability
The Dataclysm demo is available now on Steam, free to play, in English.
