Enterprises deploy AI and digital twins to anticipate disruptions and coordinate operations, ISG Provider Lens® report says

SÃO PAULO, October 21, 2026--Enterprises in Brazil are adopting integrated supply chain systems to improve execution across value chains and address increasingly complex business conditions, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® Supply Chain Services report for Brazil finds that early adopters are achieving significant progress in critical areas of operation as they implement new digital concepts and methodologies. Intelligent orchestration and risk management are high priorities for companies seeking stronger performance and value delivery. Organizations are treating supply chain execution as a strategic requirement requiring tighter coordination between employees and suppliers.

"The main challenge is no longer selecting supply chain technologies, but organizing processes and expertise around execution goals," said Bob Krohn, ISG partner, Manufacturing. "Brazilian companies will gain the most value when modernization spans the whole value chain, not just isolated capabilities."

Organizations in Brazil are extending modernization to building better end-to-end supply chain processes. They are carrying out initiatives to make every component more digital, transparent and dynamic. Expanded cloud processing, more fluid data architectures and more extensive data lakes remove information silos to allow more high-volume analytics. Companies are also adopting rapid task automation and synchronization of processes among departments, seeking to lower costs and identify bottlenecks in the overall supply chain cycle.

Companies are applying AI and GenAI models to support decisions and automate high-volume analysis. These technologies allow organizations to rework end-to-end scenarios and even reprogram decisions when parts of the process require restructuring. Solutions using digital twins play a growing role in supply chain operations, ingesting real-time data from multiple applications, sensors and control towers to increase visibility. Digital twins enable teams to simulate and optimize assets, processes or an entire supply chain.

Enterprises are using increasingly mature control towers to harmonize processes and organizational competencies across the value chain. These systems evaluate past, present and expected conditions, then indicate potential impacts and recommend the response with the lowest risk. They can analyze results through lessons learned and automatically execute selected actions at scale. Risk teams are adopting predictive monitoring to anticipate disruptions and maintain continuity, minimizing financial impacts, ISG says.
