The event generated more than 115 million total views across all online platforms, representing a 15% increase compared to last year. Following the success of the Chinese Mainland edition, the Hong Kong Shopping Festival will be held, for the first time, on e-commerce platforms in Malaysia and Singapore from 21 to 27 September. The third Hong Kong Shopping Festival concluded successfully in August 2026, generating more than 115 million total views across all online platforms. As the flagship event of the HKTDC’s year-round E-commerce Express, the theme of the third Hong Kong Shopping Festival is “Hong Kong Highlights, One Click Away”. The Chinese Mainland version was held from 1 to 20 August and featured more than 280 brands and 600 products. Consumers enjoyed a wide range of exclusive discounts alongside live-stream sales events on Douyin, JD.com and Taobao. A series of marketing campaigns on Xiaohongshu and WeChat further enhanced Hong Kong companies’ digital marketing capabilities and brand visibility, helping them to capture opportunities in the Chinese Mainland market. The third Hong Kong Shopping Festival also offered comprehensive support measures, including one-on-one professional advisory services and Chinese Mainland e-commerce training programmes, helping enterprises progress from learning e-commerce to excelling in e-commerce. Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the HKSAR, said: “Participating brands of the Hong Kong Shopping Festival (Chinese Mainland) have reported positive sales performance. The Government will continue to support Hong Kong enterprises to develop e-commerce through flexible funding support, capacity building, training and promotion assistance, etc., with a view to assisting Hong Kong enterprises in strengthening their market competitiveness and seizing new opportunities brought by cross-border e-commerce. This year, the Hong Kong Shopping Festival is expanding into the ASEAN region for the first time, facilitating Hong Kong enterprises to tap into another enormous e-commerce market. I look forward to seeing the participating brands seize this opportunity to enhance their brand awareness and showcase the advantages of Hong Kong products in the region.” Jacky Chung, Associate Executive Director of HKTDC, said: “This year’s Hong Kong Shopping Festival (Chinese Mainland) built on the momentum of the previous two years and received an enthusiastic response from consumers in the Chinese Mainland. The strong reception once again demonstrates that Hong Kong brands and products are widely associated with trust and quality. The event also helps make high-quality Hong Kong products more visible, accessible and readily available through suitable sales channels. Jacky Chung, Associate Executive Director of HKTDC, said that this year's Hong Kong Shopping Festival received an enthusiastic response from consumers in the Chinese Mainland. The strong reception once again demonstrates that Hong Kong brands and products are widely associated with trust and quality. HKTDC has long been committed to creating diverse business platforms for Hong Kong companies. Building on its extensive promotional experience in the Mainland market, HKTDC is expanding into new markets this year. The Hong Kong Shopping Festival (ASEAN), to be held in September, will focus on Malaysia and Singapore. This expansion will lay a solid foundation for Hong Kong businesses seeking to enter and develop their presence in the ASEAN region.” Diversified E-commerce promotion helps Hong Kong businesses expand in Chinese Mainland market Discount Month and Live-stream e-commerce continued to be the core components of this year’s Hong Kong Shopping Festival (Chinese Mainland). In addition to dedicated campaign pages on Douyin, JD.com and Taobao, HKTDC launched an upgraded official Hong Kong Shopping Festival website. The website features profiles of participating brands, product offers, live-stream schedules and other event highlights, providing consumers with a one-stop platform to discover and purchase participating products. Throughout the event, the campaign’s visibility and the online presence of participating Hong Kong merchants were enhanced through platform promotions, advertising campaigns and a range of online and offline marketing activities. Live-streaming is a mainstream promotional model in the Chinese Mainland e-commerce market. This year, the event arranged more than 30 live-streaming sessions for around 90 brands, featuring dedicated sessions hosted by renowned KOLs such as Li Jiaqi and Lin Yilin, TVB Select (Hong Kong Premium Collection) and JD International Live-Streaming, among others. The live-streaming sessions attracted over 10 million views in total. A new “Behind-the-Brand” origin-tracing live-stream series brought live-streaming teams from the Chinese Mainland to Hong Kong, taking consumers on immersive tours of participating brands’ factories and retail stores, offering deeper insights into their production processes, brand stories and product features, and sharing their experiences with viewers during the live-streams. This helps consumers develop a fuller understanding of Hong Kong brands, enhance brand exposure, and strengthen consumer confidence. The Hong Kong Shopping Festival arranged over 30 live-streaming sessions for around 90 brands, featuring top influencers like Li Jiaqi, Lin Yilin, TVB Select (Hong Kong Premium Collection) and JD International Live-Streaming, alongside the new 'Behind-the-Brand' origin-tracing series. The campaign was a major success, drawing more than 10 million views. Wai Yuen Tong, a health supplement brand that participated in the "Behind-the-Brand" origin-tracing live-stream series, noted that the sessions significantly boosted consumer interest in both the brand and its products. During the event, sales on its Tmall flagship store increased by five times compared with the same period last year, demonstrating how the “Behind-the-Brand” live-stream series can bring brands closer to consumers through a more interactive and authentic format. Vivian Tang, Executive Director of Wai Yuen Tong, said: "The ‘Behind-the-Brand’ live-streams gave us a valuable opportunity to share our brand story, production processes, and ingredient selection standards directly with consumers. This allows consumers to understand our brand and products, helping to build greater trust. At the same time, the live-streams also serve as an effective way to generate interest and traffic for subsequent e-commerce broadcasts. This experience has further enhanced our understanding of how live-streaming and e-commerce channels can be leveraged to reach consumers in the Mainland market. Looking ahead, we will continue to develop origin-tracing content and combine it with e-commerce initiatives to further deepen our presence in the Mainland market." Social enterprise Hello Cocoa has entered the Mainland market for the first time this year. Since joining the Design Gallery Flagship Store on JD International in July, the company has also participated in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival (Chinese Mainland). Through live-streaming sessions featuring its products and brand philosophy, complemented by promotion via WeChat communities, Hello Cocoa strengthened engagement with Mainland consumers and achieved more than 200,000 brand impressions, with results surpassing expectations. Hello Cocoa employs staff with special educational needs (SEN) to produce and sell handcrafted chocolates. Its vegan crispy has been particularly well-received by consumers. Louie Lu, Founder & C.E.O. of Hello Cocoa, said: “Through our participation with the HKTDC's Design Gallery and the Hong Kong Shopping Festival, we have successfully reached Mainland consumers and gained valuable insights into live-stream e-commerce and cross-border sales models. Looking ahead, we will also participate in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival (ASEAN) to further expand our presence in the cross-border e-commerce market.” Promoting deep participation among Hong Kong businesses to effectively strengthen their e-commerce operations To help participating brands identify the most effective e-commerce strategies, this year’s Hong Kong Shopping Festival encouraged Hong Kong businesses to capitalise on the event’s promotional momentum. By fostering in-house live-streaming and “content seeding”, brands were able to gradually develop their own marketing expertise. Beyond offering publicity to participating brands, the event provided promotional copywriting and creative visuals for the companies to amplify the reach across their own e-commerce platforms and social media channels. As a third time participant in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival, well-known beverage brand Hung Fook Tong took full advantage of this year’s event through exclusive discounts, live-streams, and social media seeding. Two of its products, Imperatae Cane Drink and Salted Mandarin Drink, were selected by renowned influencer Li Jiaqi for a live-stream session, resulting in sales doubling compared to the same period last year. Audrey Poon, General Manager of Hung Fook Tong, said: “Our continued participation in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival has enabled more Mainland consumers to become familiar with our brand, while gradually building their trust and affinity towards it. As a result, our brand has established a stronger and more reliable image. The Hong Kong Shopping Festival has also provided significant support for our expansion into the Mainland market and strengthened our e-commerce capabilities, including marketing and promotional activities, cross-border logistics, and collaborations with key opinion leaders." Startup personal care brand Eco.Babe participated in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival’s live-streaming sessions for the first time this year. By showcasing its products through live-streaming sessions highlighting key features, usage instructions and application scenarios, the brand successfully drove sales growth, with sales of its insect repellent increasing by more than 50% year-on-year. Eco.babe joined the cross-border e-commerce platform of the HKTDC's Design Gallery on JD International last year and launched its official Xiaohongshu account to actively build experience in the Mainland market. Wesley Leung, Managing Director of Eco.babe, said, “By participating in the Hong Kong Shopping Festival (Chinese Mainland) and leveraging various promotional channels, including live-streaming and social media, we have been able to gather valuable consumer feedback and sales data. This has enabled us to gain a deeper understanding of Mainland consumers’ needs and purchasing habits, while providing practical experience that will support the optimisation of our product portfolio, market positioning, pricing strategy and e-commerce operations in the future.” The new designer toys category leverages social media to effectively engage a younger demographic To capture the youth market, this year’s Hong Kong Shopping Festival collaborated with renowned artists Moon Lau and Kalok Chow, alongside a network of social media influencers, for a series of promotions. The topics surrounding the Hong Kong Shopping Festival generated over 60 million views across Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, and Weibo, marking a 20% year-on-year increase. The debut of a designer toys category also opened doors for local brands to connect with young consumers in the Chinese Mainland. Natural Made, which leveraged last year’s event to enter the Chinese Mainland market, returned this year to launch its original IP “Poru-Poru”. The campaign was a resounding success, with performance metrics far exceeding previous results. Notably, brand exposure and product save rates on its Taobao store both saw a 2.5-fold increase. Natural Made attributed this growth to the event’s targeted, category-based promotion and the HKTDC’s comprehensive support. Kenneth Lee, the company’s Marketing Lead, said: “The HKTDC’s Chinese Mainland E-commerce Training Programmes were highly pertinent, offering practical insights into the latest platform algorithms and AI tools. The programme empowered our team to sharpen our digital marketing skills and stay ahead of industry trends, serving as a vital resource for our sustained growth in the Mainland e-commerce sector.” The inaugural Hong Kong Shopping Festival (ASEAN) will launch in September The Hong Kong Shopping Festival will make its debut in Malaysia and Singapore this month. Through multi-channel promotional campaigns, the event will raise the profile of Hong Kong brands and products while providing participating companies with first-hand exposure to the operation of local e-commerce markets, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the regional e-commerce ecosystem and strengthening the foundation for future expansion across ASEAN. An official website will be launched for the ASEAN version, while cooperating with two leading e-commerce platforms in Singapore and Malaysia - namely Shopee and Lazada respectively - to open a special campaign page for the event, showcasing over 350 featured products together with exclusive promotional offers. To further support Hong Kong businesses that have yet to establish a presence on e-commerce platforms in Malaysia and Singapore, the event will introduce a limited-time online store, providing a convenient channel for merchants to list and promote their products. The initiative will enable companies to test market response, gain practical experience and seize new business opportunities in the ASEAN market. The HKSAR Government provides full support to the Hong Kong Shopping Festival. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government, filmed a promotional video. The inaugural Hong Kong Shopping Festival (ASEAN) will make its debut this month, running from 21 to 27 September on e-commerce platforms in Malaysia and Singapore. Buyers from outside Hong Kong mainly came from the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, India, Japan, Russia and the US, as well as ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Buyer attendance from North America, ASEAN and Latin America recorded significant growth, underscoring Hong Kong’s pivotal role as an international trading centre and premier sourcing hub for the global watch and clock industry in Asia. The 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the 14th Salon de TIME concluded successfully yesterday, attracting over 17,000 buyers from 115 countries and regions who visited the fairs to source products and explore business opportunities. Salon de TIME was fully open to the public with free admission. Together with CENTRESTAGE, held concurrently, the two events attracted over 20,000 public visits for shopping and visits, showcasing the latest products from more than 400 watch and fashion brands. Salon de TIME was fully open to the public, inviting visitors to explore the latest watch collections, shop for their favourite timepieces and participate in a wide range of exciting onsite activities. HKTDC Associate Executive Director Smilely Lam said: "As the world's largest one-stop watch and clock marketplace, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME connect the entire value chain spanning manufacturing, sourcing and brand promotion, bringing together brands, watchmakers, suppliers, retailers, collectors, watch media and enthusiasts from around the world to create a comprehensive industry ecosystem. This year, Salon de TIME attracted more than 150 brands from across the globe, achieving a record scale and further enhancing the fair's international profile and diversity. The number of exhibitors in the Microbrands zone doubled compared with last year. From what we observed at the fair, there is strong market demand for microbrands, Guochao-inspired watches, and cross-industry collaborations, reflecting consumers' growing appreciation for personalised designs, cultural and creative elements, and compelling brand stories. World Brand Piazza, a signature attraction of Salon de TIME, showcased six world-renowned watch brands. This year, Salon de TIME featured many Chinese Mainland brands and renowned independent watchmakers showcasing Guochao timepieces, including Shanghai Watch, FIYTA, and Zbioland. The fairs created opportunities for industry players worldwide to connect, collaborate and forge business partnerships, and also fully demonstrated Hong Kong's strengths as an international trading platform by attracting global opportunities to Hong Kong while helping Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland enterprises and brands expand into overseas markets." Survey finds strong growth prospects in Latin America and Korea During the fair, HKTDC conducted a survey, interviewing around 890 exhibitors and buyers to gain insights into the future development of the global watch and clock industry, as well as industry perceptions of market prospects and product trends. The survey found that 50% of respondents expect overall sales to increase over the next 12 to 24 months, while 43% anticipate sales will remain stable. Respondents identified the following target markets as offering promising or very promising growth prospects for the watch and clock industry over the next two years such as Latin America (68%), Korea (67%), the Middle East (64%), Australia (64%) and South Africa (64%). Regarding product trends, 37% of respondents believe fashion watches offer the greatest growth potential, followed by smart watches (30%) and casual watches (26%). Exhibitors and buyers report robust business results A representative of the Hengyang, Hunan pavilion, Lu Yalan, Brand Manager of Nanyue Watches at Hunan Shengshi Weide Technology Co., Ltd., said: “The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is an international event that fully leverages Hong Kong’s unique strengths as a gateway connecting the Chinese Mainland and the world, as well as its blend of Eastern and Western cultures, making it an ideal platform for us to expand into overseas markets. We have already connected with potential buyers from India, Italy, and Malaysia, including an Italian buyer who is interested in purchasing 2,000 watches. We expect sales generated during the five-day fair to exceed US$3 million. Through HKTDC’s extensive international business network, we hope to bring watches that embody distinctive Chinese cultural elements to a wider range of overseas markets.” Chauncey Chiu, Senior Sales Manager, Peacock Watch (Group) Co., Ltd., said: “Global recognition of Chinese watchmaking has continued to grow in recent years, and we are leveraging the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair to further expand into overseas markets, particularly Europe and the US. This year, we have also made first-time connections with new customers from Kuwait and Mexico. During the fair, we secured orders every day, and we expect total sales generated from this year’s fair to exceed RMB10 million.” Nabil Dabaan, CEO of Jovial, a watch wholesaler and retailer from the United Arab Emirates, said: “During this year’s fair, we expect to source approximately US$1 million worth of watch components from nine suppliers, including two newly identified suppliers. In addition, we plan to purchase around US$250,000 worth of packaging boxes, shopping bags and display materials.” CN Innovations Limited, which has participated every Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair since the beginning, marked the fair’s 45th edition this year by showcasing innovative achievements, including 3D-printed titanium watches. SK Chong, Business Development Director of CN Innovation Limited, said: “We have participated in the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair for 45 consecutive years, and it remains an irreplaceable platform for our business. Over the years, the fair's role has evolved significantly, transforming from a venue focused primarily on direct, transaction-driven trade into a strategic platform for industry exchange and market promotion. As the world's largest importer of watches and a leading exporter, Hong Kong offers the ideal stage to showcase our rich heritage and our latest innovations and R&D achievements.” At Salon de TIME, several exhibitors showcased watches inspired by the Guochao trend. Among them, Sun International Concepts Ltd. presented five renowned Chinese Mainland watch brands, including creations by Xushu Ma, Zehua Tan and Lin Yonghua, members of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) from the Chinese Mainland, who showcased their craftsmanship through distinctive Chinese timepieces. David Sun, the company's Executive Director, said the company received 17 enquiries for bespoke timepieces, including eight from Dubai, the Philippines, Thailand and other overseas markets, generating customised watch orders totalling HK$4 million. He added that the exhibition provides an effective platform for brands to connect with collectors and overseas distributors, helping Chinese Mainland brands expand into overseas retail channels and international markets. As an international platform, the fair also supports brands in expanding their overseas distribution networks and accelerating their global growth. Leveraging the Salon de TIME as an important platform for international expansion, Sea-Gull Watch and Shanghai Watch also held product launch events during the fair, showcasing Chinese watchmaking craftsmanship and innovative technologies to the international market. George Xu, CEO, Fosun Watch Group, said: “The two brands have engaged with customers from markets including India, the Middle East, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. We expect sales generated from this year’s exhibition to exceed HK$1 million. Over the years, the fair has also helped us gradually expand into overseas markets. For example, a Turkish client we met at last year’s fair is now in the process of opening a dedicated retail store in Turkey. Hong Kong is also a very important market for us. Following the encouraging response to the opening of our first store in Tsim Sha Tsui earlier this year, we plan to launch our flagship store in Central after the fair. This will further strengthen our brand presence and expand our influence in both the Hong Kong and overseas markets.” The Microbrands zone attracted 29 brands from eight countries and regions this year, more than double the number recorded last year. Making its debut at the fair, MicroMilspec, an independent watch brand from Norway, showcased its new Field Master timepiece in the pavilion and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Katarina Halvorssen, Customer Relationship Management & Sales Manager, MicroMilspec, said: “More than 170 visitors came to our booth on the first day alone, including customers from Hong Kong, India, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates. We estimate potential sales of around US$29,000. For us, the fair is not only an opportunity to showcase our brand, but also an important gateway to the Asian market.” Watchcatavlog from Hong Kong, a returning exhibitor, showcased 10 microbrands this year. Its Founder, Ciff Luk, said: “Salon de TIME allows watch enthusiasts to try on and experience the timepieces firsthand through wrist trials, while also helping brands connect directly with international buyers. We expect sales to reach HK$280,000. Visitor inquiries have increased 20% year-on-year, and we have attracted interest from buyers in Brazil, Canada, India, Kuwait, the Philippines, Singapore, and the US. Both visitor traffic and buyer quality have improved this year.” WOLF, the luxury watch storage and watch winder brand from the UK, made its debut at the Fair and launched Rocket, the world’s most compact travel watch winder, during the exhibition. Michael Jappert, Global Sales Director, WOLF 1834, Limited, said: “Through HKTDC’s Click2Match business matching platform, we have connected with around 40 potential buyers from markets including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Dubai, Japan, Korea, the Middle East and the US. The platform has enabled us to efficiently identify and engage with quality business prospects from around the world.” Amarildo Pilo, Owner of PILO & CO SA and Founder of the Swiss Independent Watchmakers Pavilion (SIWP), said: “The fair’s international reach is a key reason why we continue to participate, helping us connect with buyers from Asia, the Middle East and the US. We have met more than 10 clients interested in our products, including three new contacts from Kazakhstan and a buyer from the Chinese Mainland. The SIWP Pavilion has also grown from 10 brands last year to 14 this year, reflecting how HKTDC’s platform helps Swiss independent brands explore new distribution opportunities and further expand into international markets.” The fairs featured a strong lineup of international exhibitors, including the Swiss Independent Watchmakers Pavilion (SIWP) from Switzerland (above) and Francéclat from France. LINK2CARE, in collaboration with Swiss watch brand MARVIN, launched a luxury smartwatch that integrates LINK2CARE’s patented leather strap with concealed, medical-grade biometric sensors. The watch provides comprehensive health monitoring and can track users’ resilience and stress levels in real time, with the data displayed directly on the watch dial. Paul Yuen, Director, Dayton Industrial Co. Ltd, said: “The fair attracted a diverse range of buyers from around the world. We also established a cross-industry partnership with a tour guide to explore new opportunities in the wellness tourism sector. Our watches, priced at over HK$2,000, sold more than 100 units on the first day alone, requiring immediate stock replenishment. In addition, the organiser’s newly introduced Time Arena activity zone, which incorporated trendy elements such as pickleball, significantly enhanced visitor engagement and attracted buyers and consumers from different backgrounds, creating more business opportunities for brands.” Salon de TIME once again offered free admission to the public, with some brands providing on-site retail sales. Abel Hwong, Publisher & Anchor, World of Luxury Times, led a 26-member delegation to the fair to purchase watches. He said: “We purchased 12 watches from three brands, with a total value exceeding HK$100,000. The fair lets collectors interact directly with brands and buy the timepieces they want, turning collecting enthusiasm into real purchases. It also helps brands connect with more watch enthusiasts and potential customers.” HKTDC will organise a series of trade fairs this autumn. The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 13 to 16 October. The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will follow, to be held at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October, and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October. The Austrian pavilion made its debut at CENTRESTAGE, presenting seven sustainable fashion brands, including Woody, which carries on a classic wooden-clog craft with more than a century of history. On the third day of the fair, a Korean fashion show themed “SEOUListic: The Future is Sustainable” further showcased Korean designers’ creativity and sustainability ethos. Former IZ*ONE member Lee Chaeyeon performed as a special guest. The atmosphere was electrifying, underscoring the international appeal of Korean fashion. Industry optimistic about streetwear brands markets as cross sector collaboration becomes a key trend To understand the latest developments and market trends in the fashion industry, the HKTDC interviewed over 350 exhibitors and buyers on-site during the fair. Ronald Chan, founder of gothic silver jewellery brand Devil Claw and a participant in the pre-fair workshop, said: “The mentors provided highly valuable practical guidance. The workshop made me realise that international buyers look beyond design and price, and place even greater importance on a brand’s operational capability and potential for long-term partnership.” He added that the brand generated tens of thousands of Hong Kong dollars in on-site retail sales during the exhibition and entered discussions with new buyers from France and Taiwan. Designer Janko Lam's brand "Classics Anew" and ink painting artist Kan Tai-keung launched their collaborative fashion collection "Quartet" at the fair. She noted that the fair's diverse portfolio of brands provides an excellent platform for discovering emerging labels with strong potential for the UK and Western European markets. During the event, we attracted interest from buyers in the Chinese Mainland, Japan and Germany, laying a foundation for future market expansion. Through direct engagement with shoppers and fans at the fair, we were also able to gather valuable feedback for the brand.” CENTRESTAGE introduced the Hype² pavilion for the first time this year, launching about 30 limited-edition and debut products during the exhibition period. The "Hype² Fashion Show" was also held during the fair, with over 10 trendsetting brands collectively showcasing their design characteristics and brand styles in a bustling atmosphere. Cross-sector collaboration collections also caught the attention of buyers. Local designer Janko Lam's brand "Classics Anew" collaborated with ink painting artist Kan Tai-keung, transforming Kan's ink art into inspiration. Their first collaboration collection, "Quartet", was officially launched at CENTRESTAGE. This year’s CENTRESTAGE also strengthened on-the-ground support for local exhibiting brands. Both attended in person to show their support, demonstrating the infinite possibilities of cross-sector collaboration. Some brands have already reached deals with Hong Kong buyers to launch offline retail at a major shopping mall in Kai Tak.” In addition to connecting with Hong Kong buyers, CENTRESTAGE also helped brands in the Korean pavilion expand into international markets. Antonio Shin, founder and designer of the namesake Korean fashion brand, presented the SS27 Collection featuring local fabrics and production. The brand successfully connected with department stores, chain retailers and specialty-store buyers from the Chinese Mainland, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia and Thailand. First-time exhibitor Asparagus, a Seoul-based avant-garde brand offering genderless high-end fashion, also drew strong buyer interest. Founder and designer Je Lee said: “The brand attracted attention from buyers in the Chinese Mainland, Southeast Asia and Australia. The fair is expected to generate initial orders of about US$6,000 to US$7,000, giving us a strong boost as we expand in the Asian market.” Including Korea, this year's CENTRESTAGE brings together exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, among which Austria, Colombia, the Faroe Islands, Malaysia, Slovakia, and the United Arab Emirates participated for the first time. Cape De Coeur’s waterproof cape, in particular, was featured by leading fashion titles Vogue and GQ.” Marianne Perkovic, Executive Chair, Australian Fashion Council, once again led a delegation to Hong Kong. She said: “The original plan of about 120 buyer meetings over the four-day fair increased to 180, with the strongest interest coming from buyers in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, Indonesia and Korea. In addition, leather brand West 14th has already secured concrete partnerships with buyers from Korea and Japan.” The Canadian pavilion was led by the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, bringing together a lineup of women-founded and women-led premium brands. The fair attracted international buyers from leading department stores including Sophie Rose Davis-Evans, menswear and streetwear buyer at renowned British department store Selfridges, who was visiting CENTRESTAGE for the first time. She noted that the fair's diverse portfolio of brands provides an excellent platform for discovering emerging labels with strong potential for the UK and Western European markets. She said: “I met with more than 10 emerging brands during the fair, and two Hong Kong labels, peces and MURFI LAU, stood out in particular. We are negotiating a wholesale partnership.” Tifandy Okto, General Manager of Indonesia’s Galeries Lafayette, also overseeing sourcing for Sogo and Seibu, “We are particularly interested in Australia’s VICETA WANG and Chinese Mainland brand WANZZZ.
