- OpenWorld (NASDAQ: OPNW) Signs Term Sheet to Finance and Operate a Solar-Powered AI Computing Network Built on Tesla Powerwall BatteriesCompanies: TeslaOpenWorld, Inc. ("OpenWorld" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: OPNW), an innovation company advancing global real-world asset ("RWA") tokenization, today announced that it has entered into a non-binding term sheet with Meridian to establish a tokenized financing program of up to $[1] billion to fund the purchase and deployment of a distributed AI computing network powered by solar energy and Tesla Powerwall battery storage. Under the term sheet, OpenWorld will serve as advisor, structuring agent and services provider for the program, and its OpenWorld Enterprise platform will finance, coordinate and monitor the network. Key Highlights Up to $1 billion in tokenized financing: OpenWorld structures and administers the tokenized financing program on OpenWorld Enterprise. Tesla Powerwall batteries, solar panels and AI computing equipment serve as collateral within the structure. Exclusive Tesla Powerwall inventory: Meridian holds exclusive rights to a reserved inventory of Tesla Powerwall systems that qualified for federal clean-energy tax credits before those credits were discontinued. [The inventory covers more than 160,000 Powerwalls, enough to support approximately 80,000 homes.] Initial deployment of 10,000 homes: [GPU-equipped computers at participating homes, with larger installations at local schools, hospitals and commercial campuses.] AI inference without new data centers: AI providers pay to run trained models on the network with no new centralized data-center sites, no additional grid interconnections and no water-based cooling. The program is intended to supply capacity to one or more leading AI inference providers. Hosts get paid: Homeowners receive monthly hosting payments and lower-cost electricity, with household energy needs taking priority over computing workloads. Commercial hosts receive a share of site revenue and backup power. Timeline: Test installations scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026; first commercial site targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Builds on the BeyondAI transaction: Follows last week's proposed transaction with BeyondAI, which would transform BeyondAI’s industrial AI intellectual property rights into financeable collateral on OpenWorld’s tokenization platform. Solving the Power Problem in AI Infrastructure Access to power is a growing constraint on AI infrastructure. New data centers face lengthy grid interconnection timelines, local opposition and significant water demands. The planned network of home-hosted, distributed AI inference computing would place GPU-equipped computers at participating homes and larger installations at local schools, hospitals and commercial campuses, each powered by on-site solar generation and Tesla Powerwall storage. AI providers would pay to use this computing capacity for inference, the process of running trained AI models, without requiring new centralized data-center sites, additional grid connections or water-based cooling. Participating homeowners would receive monthly hosting payments and lower-cost electricity, with household energy needs taking priority over computing workloads. Commercial hosts would receive a share of site revenue and backup power. How the Program Works Meridian, a privately held Delaware limited liability company, specializes in optimizing tax credits for Tesla Powerwall systems and holds exclusive rights to a reserved inventory of Powerwall systems that qualified for federal clean-energy tax credits before those credits were discontinued. [The inventory covers more than 160,000 Powerwalls, enough to support installations at approximately 80,000 homes. The program’s initial deployment is planned for 10,000 homes.] Under the term sheet, OpenWorld will serve as advisor, structuring agent and services provider for the financing program. OpenWorld will establish and administer the tokenized financing structure on its OpenWorld Enterprise platform. The financing would support Meridian’s purchase and deployment of Tesla Powerwall batteries and associated AI computing equipment, as well as the purchase by OpenWorld or a subsidiary of solar panels, all of which would serve as collateral within the structure. OpenWorld is also developing an integrated system to power and operate each installation. The OpenWorld Enterprise platform will coordinate computing workloads across the network, monitor equipment performance and provide investors with reporting on the underlying assets. The program is intended to supply computing capacity to one or more leading AI inference providers. Test installations are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first commercial site targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Management Commentary “Access to power is becoming the major constraint on the growth of AI infrastructure,” said Matt Shaw, CEO and Chairman of OpenWorld. “By bringing computing equipment to homes and commercial properties through solar generation and Tesla Powerwall storage, we can build AI capacity closer to the power source instead of waiting years for a grid connection. Our term sheet with Meridian brings together the tokenization, financing and operating capabilities needed to develop this network at scale, and it shows what OpenWorld Enterprise is built to do: turn real-world assets into financeable, on-chain infrastructure.” “Meridian’s rights to a large inventory of tax-qualified Tesla Powerwall systems provide the critical foundation for this program,” said Josh Raffaelli, founder of Meridian and clean energy investor. “OpenWorld will help us finance the equipment and manage the network, turning solar generation and battery storage at participating properties into infrastructure that can serve growing demand for AI computing.” If a transaction is consummated, Mr. Raffaelli is expected to join OpenWorld’s board of directors. Certain officers and directors of OpenWorld hold interests in Meridian; additional information regarding these relationships is included in the Company’s Current Report on Form 8-K. - Oritain Launches Supplier Intelligence Report, Revealing a New Era of Supply Chain CollaborationSINGAPORE, Oct 14, 2026 - Oritain, global leaders in forensic origin verification, announced the release of its Supplier Intelligence Report, a dedicated supplier deep dive building on findings from the inaugural 2026 Global Supply Chain Intelligence Report. Drawing on Oritain’s supplier intelligence* across key global manufacturing hubs, the report offers a unique view into how suppliers are responding to growing regulatory scrutiny, customer expectations and sourcing pressures. The findings challenge a common industry assumption: suppliers are not resisting transparency. Instead, they are actively investing in traceability, seeking stronger collaboration and looking for credible ways to demonstrate trust. The report suggests the industry is entering a new phase of supply chain integrity. While traceability has become increasingly established, the next challenge is ensuring supply chain claims can be supported by independent evidence. As brands, retailers and manufacturers face greater scrutiny from regulators, investors and consumers alike, the ability to substantiate provenance and sourcing claims is becoming a critical business capability. The research draws on supplier insights from key manufacturing markets, complementing findings from the 2026 Global Supply Chain Intelligence Report, which examined sourcing risk, enforcement trends and consumer trust across global supply chains, by shining a light on the evolving priorities, challenges and opportunities facing suppliers themselves. From Traceability to Trust: The Rise of Verified Supply Chain Ecosystems The Supplier Intelligence Report highlights a significant shift in supplier attitudes towards transparency and verification. Nearly 80% of suppliers surveyed already operate some form of traceability solution, while 75% are open to adopting new traceability technologies. More significantly, 77% expressed interest in participating in origin verification initiatives, highlighting growing recognition that transparency alone is no longer enough to build trust in today's supply chain environment. "The findings tell a different story than many people expect," said Gemma Lynch, Chief Customer Officer at Oritain. "Suppliers are not pushing back against transparency. They are actively looking for ways to participate in a more trusted supply chain ecosystem. The challenge is no longer willingness to engage. The challenge is ensuring claims can be substantiated with credible evidence when questions arise." Key Insights from Oritain's Supplier Intelligence Report Collaboration is Emerging as a Competitive Advantage: 77% of suppliers surveyed expressed interest in collaborating on origin verification initiatives, signalling growing momentum towards shared responsibility across supply chains. Transparency is Becoming a Business Imperative: More than 85% of suppliers describe supply chain transparency as important or very important to their business, reinforcing that transparency is now a core commercial consideration rather than a niche sustainability issue. Traceability Adoption Has Accelerated: Nearly 80% of suppliers already use traceability solutions, while 75% remain open to adopting new technologies, demonstrating continued investment across the sector. Customer and Consumer Expectations Are Driving Change: 81% of suppliers identified consumer demand as a key driver of transparency efforts, while retailer and customer requirements continue to shape investment decisions. Leadership Engagement is Growing: 73% per cent of suppliers involve executive leadership in traceability and transparency decisions, suggesting these issues are increasingly viewed as strategic priorities. Verification is the Next Frontier: As traceability becomes increasingly common, suppliers are seeking more credible ways to validate sourcing claims and differentiate themselves in competitive markets. Building the Future Through Connected Networks The report arrives shortly after Oritain announced significant enhancements to its Membership program, creating a stronger framework for collaboration between brands, suppliers and manufacturers. Combining forensic origin verification, supply chain intelligence and a growing network of verified participants, Oritain Membership is designed to help organisations move beyond isolated compliance towards a more connected ecosystem built on trust, transparency and evidence. "The future of supply chain integrity will not be built by organisations operating in isolation," said Lynch. "It will be built through networks of buyers and suppliers working from a shared foundation of trusted data, independent verification and actionable intelligence. As expectations continue to rise, organisations need more than visibility into their supply chains. They need confidence in the information they are using to make decisions. Our role is to provide the science, intelligence and verification that help make that possible." * The research surveyed 122 senior decision-makers, primarily at director level or above, across 10 markets (China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Türkiye, Vietnam, Singapore, Bangladesh and Pakistan), with 80% of respondents having more than four years of industry experience. - Melamine foam manufacturer FoamTech adds EN 13501-1 Class B-s1, d0 fire rating as European interior specifications tightenWednesday 14 October, 2026 The Yiwu-based manufacturer also holds IATF 16949 and AS9100D, delivers rail interior material against EN 45545 project specifications, and has had its melamine foam carbon footprint verified to ISO 14067:2018 by TÜV SÜD. YIWU, Zhejiang, China — 14 October 2026 — FoamTech (Zhejiang) New Materials Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of melamine foam for thermal insulation, acoustic treatment and fire-rated interiors, today confirmed that its melamine foam carries the European construction fire classification EN 13501-1 Class B-s1, d0. EN 13501-1 is the reaction-to-fire classification standard applied to construction products across the European Union and the UK. The designation has three parts: B indicates a limited contribution to fire spread; s1 is the lowest smoke-production bracket; and d0 indicates no flaming droplets. The final element is frequently the one that narrows the field in enclosed interior applications, where a falling, burning droplet can spread fire below the point of ignition. The same class is expressed in the Chinese system, where the material is separately graded as GB 8624 B1 (B-s1, d0) for domestic projects. Melamine foam derives its fire performance from the nitrogen content of the melamine resin itself rather than from halogenated flame-retardant additives. That is a property of the material, not a coating, and it survives cutting and converting. “Our customers in Europe rarely ask for a single data-sheet number,” said Kiko Fan, Overseas Manager at FoamTech. “They ask which classification a product holds, who tested it, and whether the same result applies to the thickness and density they are actually specifying. So we publish the classification and the test method together, and we keep the underlying reports available to specifiers.” Three qualification streams on one set of lines Melamine foam for building interiors is only one of the release regimes FoamTech works under. The company holds IATF 16949, the quality management standard for automotive suppliers, and AS9100D, its aerospace counterpart, for its melamine foam production, alongside ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. In practice this means incoming-material control, batch traceability and release testing on the lines that produce standard insulation grades are governed by automotive and aerospace control plans. Material supplied for HVAC ductwork, chilled-water and process piping, or acoustic treatment inherits that release discipline. Rail interiors: supplied to project requirements Rail interior work follows a different route. Rather than claiming a blanket approval, FoamTech supplies against individual project specifications that call for compliance with EN 45545, the European fire-safety standard for railway vehicles. That includes interior applications on rolling stock built by CRRC, the Chinese rolling-stock manufacturer, where the hazard level is set by the vehicle programme rather than by the foam supplier. Material is tested and documented to the hazard level named in the customer's specification, and the supporting test evidence travels with the delivery documentation. Test documentation held Independent test evidence held by the company includes: UL 94 V-0 rated formulations; Carbon footprint verified Separately from fire performance, the carbon footprint of the company's melamine foam has been verified to ISO 14067:2018 by TÜV SÜD, the German testing and certification group. The verification covers data from October 2024 to September 2025 and was carried out to a reasonable-assurance level, with an unqualified statement of conformity. The verified figure is 86.18 kg CO2e per 2560 × 1300 × 430 mm block, from cradle to gate — that is, raw material and manufacturing stages. Standards work FoamTech is listed among the drafting units of Chinese national and industry standards for plastics and thermal insulation, including QB/T 8216-2026 (cleaning melamine foam), and participates in current revision work on test methods for foam combustion behaviour and water-vapour transmission in building materials. About FoamTech FoamTech (Zhejiang) New Materials Co., Ltd. is a melamine foam manufacturer registered in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, China (legal entity registered 2020-12-29; group operations since 2014). The company produces melamine foam blocks, sheets, acoustic panels, thermal insulation, hydrophobic grades and cleaning sponges, and supplies converted and die-cut parts. It holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949 and AS9100D, has completed a BSCI social-compliance audit, operates a FAMA Authorized Facility in Yiwu, and has an annual melamine foam production capacity of 300,000 m³.
