Sobi to present new Aspaveli®/Empaveli® data at ASN Kidney Week 2026

PR Newswire

Sobi® today announced that seven abstracts on Aspaveli/Empaveli (pegcetacoplan) have been accepted for presentation at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week 2026, taking place from 21–25 October in Denver, Colorado, USA. The programme includes two oral and five poster presentations covering longer-term clinical outcomes, renal safety and treatment experience, alongside the phase IV PRISM-C3 study, reflecting Sobi's commitment to generating real-world evidence.

The two oral presentations will report 76-week outcomes with Aspaveli/Empaveli in C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) and primary immune-complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN), demonstrating maintenance of proteinuria reduction and eGFR stabilisation. These include a paediatric subgroup analysis from VALIANT and its VALE extension.

"Longer-term follow-up is important to deepen our understanding of treatment outcomes for people living with C3G and primary IC-MPGN," said Lydia Abad-Franch, MD, Head of R&D and Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Sobi. "The 76-week analyses, including findings in adolescent patients, continue to build the evidence base for Aspaveli/Empaveli. Alongside research into renal safety, treatment experience and use in kidney transplant recipients, the presentations at ASN reflect our commitment to addressing the needs of people living with these rare kidney diseases."

About Aspaveli®/Empaveli® (pegcetacoplan)

Aspaveli/Empaveli (pegcetacoplan) is a targeted C3 and C3b therapy designed to regulate excessive activation of the complement cascade, part of the body's immune system, which can lead to the onset and progression of many serious diseases. It is the first treatment for C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) or primary immune complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN) in patients 12 years of age and older approved in the United States, European Union, and other countries globally. Aspaveli/Empaveli is also approved for the treatment of adults with paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) in the United States, European Union, and other countries globally.
