Goa, India – 16 October, 2026 - Frostwood Interactive has announced that Shutter Story, a psychological horror in which players uncover a family's haunted history by revealing the horrors hidden within their photographs, has surpassed 100,000 wishlists on Steam.

The milestone comes alongside the release of an updated demo, introducing full voice acting for the first time, overhauled visuals, new features, and additional photographs to investigate.

Shutter Story has generated viral attention on X on multiple occasions and proven a hit with YouTube and Twitch, with prominent content creators including Jacksepticeye and Markiplier having played the game. Earlier this year, the game also secured funding through a successful Kickstarter campaign.

When Eli insists his family is being haunted, you dismiss it - until he shows you the photos. Now he needs to convince his parents, and as a budding photo editor, that’s where you come in. Armed with the photo and video analysis software SpectralAware™ 2.1, tweak exposure settings and experiment with a variety of filters to reveal the horrors hiding in plain sight.

Consult an exhaustive manual detailing every type of anomaly to classify your observations into the right categories. Choose wisely, because Eli’s family’s fate depends on how well you do your job.  Between your desktop investigations, explore Eli’s house in first-person sections as the horror begins to unfold around you. As you piece together the family history, you’ll discover the true reason behind the hauntings – and the horrors inherited and passed down through generations.
