Russell Wilson and Ciara Join Wearable Health Brand QALO as Co-Owners and Investors
Super Bowl champion quarterback and multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning global icon will help shape QALO's next chapter across health, performance, technology and culture
NEW YORK, October 20, 2026--QALO, the wearable health technology company built for people who work, train, and live hard, today announced that Super Bowl champion quarterback, entrepreneur and CBS Sports and The NFL Today analyst Russell Wilson and multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning global icon and entrepreneur Ciara have joined QALO as co-owners and investors.
Russell Wilson and Ciara will work closely with QALO's leadership team as the company continues its evolution from the brand that pioneered the silicone ring into a broader wearable health platform, supporting its growth across health, performance, technology and culture.
Since 2013, QALO has served more than 2.2 million unique customers, building a brand around products designed to fit naturally into active, demanding lives. Today, QALO is applying that same philosophy to health technology. Its SR-2 Smart Ring and recently launched SL-1 Smart Band offer two flexible, subscription-free ways into the same health platform. Users can choose the form factor that fits them or use both interchangeably, with sleep, recovery, stress and activity data flowing into one continuous health profile. The expansion comes as QALO's wearable user base has grown more than 400% year over year, signaling growing demand for a more flexible, lower-barrier approach to personal health tracking without a subscription.
"Russell and Ciara know what it takes to perform at the highest level, build businesses and raise a family," said Jake Curreri, CEO of QALO. "They understand the importance of having meaningful health insights that can support performance, recovery and everyday life. Their decision to invest in QALO and become co-owners is a strong vote of confidence in what we've built and our belief that useful, actionable health insights should be accessible to more people, not just elite athletes or those able to pay a premium."
"I'm excited to help shape the future of QALO as a co-owner and investor to empower people to take a more proactive and accessible approach to their health," said Wilson. "Taking care and understanding your body is essential to performing your best, whether that's on the field and off the field as a parent and staying active for your kids. Being in tune with what your body needs and staying ahead of recovery can make a real difference in how you feel and perform in every aspect of your life. QALO provides real time data and information about our bodies so we can better understand what we need to recover, refuel and take care of ourselves."
