AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 20, 2026 -- Roamly, the specialty insurance provider of The Ride Platform, today announced the appointment of Christine Franzi as Head of Insurance Programs, as the company scales its mobility insurance offerings across carshare, rideshare, delivery, RV and autonomous fleets in North America and Europe.
“Independent operators are the future of mobility, whether they’re renting out RVs or running fleets of cars,” said Aaron Ammar, Chief Insurance Officer at Roamly. “Most insurance was never built for how they actually work. We are doubling down on both, with connected vehicle data and a rating engine that moves in days. Franzi has built insurance offerings for exactly these operators, and knows the inner workings of these businesses.”
Franzi joins Roamly from Mobilitas Insurance, a CSAA Insurance Group company, where she spent four years at the cutting edge of insurance offerings for fleets and platforms. She led a large shared-economy commercial auto portfolio that has been consistently profitable, and launched new products for autonomous vehicles, carsharing and ridesharing, among others.
"I've spent my career on the commercial programs that traditional insurance was never designed to handle, including rideshare, carshare, and autonomous vehicles," said Franzi. "The typical answer has been to bolt those risks onto traditional products and wait for the data to catch up. What drew me to Roamly is how fast they move on emerging risks and how quickly they can put new data to work. The technology makes for better risk selection and pricing decisions. I'm excited to enhance the current Roamly offerings and to build the ones that don't exist yet."
Before Mobilitas, Franzi spent nearly four years at Digital Partners, a Munich Re company. Earlier, she spent four years at Esurance in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she shipped the carrier’s chatbot, web chat and payment system. She began her career on the actuarial side as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Auto-Owners Insurance in Lansing, Michigan, which gives her a pricing foundation few product leaders have. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
Franzi's appointment comes as Roamly continues expanding its program portfolio across North America and Europe, following its appointment as a Lloyd's Coverholder in 2025, its Celent Model Insurer Award for innovation execution the same year, and the opening of its London hub under Head of Global Mobility Insurance Dan Severin earlier this year.
