Quantum XChange and Carahsoft to Host Webinar on Federal Crypto-Agility Requirements
October 22 webinar will explore how agencies can meet post-quantum security requirements under Executive Order 14412 and OMB M-26-15 without replacing existing network infrastructure
BETHESDA, Md., October 20, 2026--Quantum XChange®, a leader in quantum-safe network security, will participate in a webinar co-hosted with Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®, on October 22 to help federal agencies and government contractors understand and address crypto-agility requirements under Executive Order 14412 and OMB Memorandum M-26-15.
The complimentary webinar, titled "Why Crypto-Agility is Essential to EO 14412 & OMB M-26-15," will feature Antonio Sanchez, Chief Strategy Officer at Quantum XChange, and Eric Hay, Senior Vice President of Field Engineering at Quantum XChange. The session will take place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 22.
The webinar comes as a new U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) report highlights significant gaps in federal preparations for post-quantum cryptography. Released October 6, the report's findings underscore the challenges agencies face in moving from post-quantum planning to implementation, and the importance of flexible approaches that can accommodate evolving cryptographic standards.
"Crypto-agility is about more than adopting new encryption algorithms. It's about having the ability to change cryptographic protections as threats and standards evolve, without disrupting critical operations," said Eddy Zervigon, CEO of Quantum XChange. "Federal agencies need practical ways to meet these requirements across the networks they already operate. This webinar will help clarify what genuine crypto-agility looks like and how organizations can evaluate their options."
As federal agencies prepare for the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC), crypto-agility has become an increasingly important capability. Yet the term is often interpreted differently across the cybersecurity industry, making it difficult for organizations to determine whether their existing infrastructure and security solutions can accommodate changing cryptographic standards. Quantum XChange is working with government agencies to address these challenges, including a recent deployment of its Phio TX-EM® solution across a U.S. federal agency whose identity is being withheld due to the sensitive nature of its mission. The deployment brought post-quantum protection and crypto-agility to the agency's existing network infrastructure without requiring hardware replacement.
