Milan – Tuesday, October 13, 2026
The weekend at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit ended with a historic result for Aprilia, which secured its first poker finish in MotoGP with four RS-GP26 bikes in the top four.
Starting second on the grid, Marco Bezzecchi claimed the top step of the podium, putting in a clever performance on his Aprilia RS-GP26 and also setting the races fastest lap in 129.960. His victory is the 300th by an Italian rider in the top class of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Todays win is also his 11th in the top class and his fifth of the season, following victories at Buriram, Goinia, Austin and Mugello.
Jorge Martn finished third after a solid race from the second row of the grid. This is the Spanish riders ninth podium of the season and his third in a row, following those in Austria and Japan. Todays result also sees Martn regain the championship lead on 355 points.
The SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team riders were also outstanding. Ral Fernndez finished second, completing the all-Aprilia podium at Mandalika, while Ai Oguras fourth place secured a historic first clean sweep of the top four for the RS-GP.
As well as its first poker finish in MotoGP, this was Aprilia Racings fourth podium lockout of the season, following Le Mans, Assen and Silverstone. With this victory, the Noale-based team has now racked up 310 wins in the World Motorcycle Championship. It was also Aprilias eighth victory this season and its 16th overall in the top class.
MARCO BEZZECCHI
Im happy with my race. I really wanted to leave Mandalika with a good result, and Id been chasing this win since my injury at the Sachsenring. It felt really good. Clearly, with only five races left, the title is more lost than won. But that doesnt change how I think or work, especially with my team. Im not a rider who gives up. Thats who I am, and Im happy to have met so many like-minded people along the way who Im fortunate enough to work with.
JORGE MARTN
Im happy with this podium because I achieved the best possible result. Marco and Ral had something extra all weekend. I tried to close the gap, but they were faster. Im still a little disappointed with Saturdays result because I could have won, but Im happy with the long race. As for the championship, the most important thing is to stay in the title fight and, above all, arrive in Valencia with a chance.
MASSIMO RIVOLA
Once again, Aprilia means high drama, for better and for worse. Saturday started in the best possible way with pole position for Ral Fernndez, but the sprint was marred by a mistake at turn one and a serious error over Jorges front tyre pressure, for which we owe him an apology. At least Ais superb ride through the field salvaged something from it. Sunday, on the other hand, has been a day to remember, with four Aprilia RS-GP bikes in the top four for the first time. We know it will be tough right to the end, but just as we dont get disheartened when things go badly, we dont get carried away when they go well. I want to congratulate everyone at Noale on their commitment and dedication, which are proving so valuable in this hard-fought season.
