Penelope Bourbon Commits $250,000 to FCancer as Partnership Marks Fifth Anniversary
The brand also unveils FCancer Batch 5, a limited edition, six-year-old blend of straight whiskeys available nationwide this month
ST. LOUIS, October 19, 2026--Penelope Bourbon is marking five years of its partnership with FCancer with the release of Batch 5, a six-year-old blend of straight whiskeys available at select retailers nationwide starting this October. The annual limited release reflects Penelope's ongoing commitment to supporting FCancer's mission of changing the way people think about cancer through prevention, early detection and support. This year, Penelope is pledging $250,000 to the nonprofit.
The partnership with FCancer began when the Penelope team created a blend in honor of a teammate who lost someone they loved to cancer. Five years later, the annual release has become an opportunity to honor those affected by the disease while helping FCancer advance its work. Each release features bold label artwork of multicolored ribbons, representing the many forms cancer takes and the many people it touches.
"Five years ago, the goal was to create a whiskey to honor our colleague's late wife who was lost to cancer. It was an opportunity to bring people together while also supporting FCancer's incredible mission," said Michael Paladini, founder and vice president of strategy at Penelope Bourbon. "Blending Batch 5 alongside the FCancer team, cancer survivors, and friends of the brand makes this year's bottle even more special."
Bottled at 101 proof and aged six years, Penelope Bourbon FCancer Batch 5 is distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and features a four-grain mash bill of 64% corn, 20% rye, 1% malted rye and 15% barley malt. Made in small batches, the whiskey opens with notes of toffee, vanilla bean, baked apple and toasted grain on the nose, followed by brown sugar, honeyed corn, cinnamon and malt on the palate. The finish carries caramel, charred oak, dark chocolate, and warm spice.
"For this release, we brought together six-year-aged bourbon and American malt whiskey to create a blend with its own unique character," said Danny Polise, founder and master blender of Penelope Bourbon. "Each component was carefully selected for what it contributes to the final blend, resulting in a well-balanced whiskey with great depth and complexity. It makes this release even more meaningful knowing it's supporting such an important cause."
Penelope's partnership with FCancer provides an important opportunity to spotlight the role of prevention and early detection while supporting the individuals and families affected by cancer. Through education and access to screening resources, FCancer works to empower people to take a proactive approach to their health and improve outcomes.
