Marco Antonio Solís visit with children and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
MEMPHIS, Tenn., October 20, 2026--Known for a career that has impacted millions through music, Marco Antonio Solís has connected with people across generations and around the world. Last month, that connection took on a deeply personal meaning when the award-winning Mexican singer, songwriter, and producer made his first visit to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®.
During his time at St. Jude, Solís toured the hospital and research facilities, where he learned firsthand about the groundbreaking research and clinical care. Solís spent time listening, talking, sharing smiles, and offering words of affection and encouragement to children and their loved ones. Far from the stages and audiences that have accompanied him throughout his career, the visit became an opportunity to listen, learn, and recognize the courage of families receiving care at St. Jude.
"Music has given me the blessing of connecting with people in so many places throughout my life, but there are encounters that especially touch your heart," said Solís. "Being at St. Jude, spending time with these children and their families, seeing their courage and the extraordinary love that surrounds them, is something I will carry with me. I leave with much more than I could ever give: gratitude, admiration, and renewed hope."
While in Memphis, Solís also participated in the Danny Thomas Celebrity-Am, an annual golf event held during the FedEx St. Jude Championship that brings together celebrities, athletes and supporters to raise awareness for St. Jude and its mission.
"Through music that resonates across generations and continents, Marco Antonio has created meaningful connections with millions of people, and we were honored to see him bring that same warmth to the children and families of St. Jude," said Lynn Page, vice president of program strategy and development for ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "We are grateful to Marco for spending time with our families and for using his platform to support our mission. His generosity helps give more children the chance for more tomorrows."
The visit also marked another chapter in Solís' longstanding support of the mission of St. Jude through the Music Gives to St. Jude Kids® program, which brings together artists, fans and members of the music industry to raise funds and awareness for the lifesaving work of St. Jude.
As part of that commitment, Solís donated $1 from every ticket sold during Los Bukis' historic reunion tour, which brought the iconic Mexican group back together after more than two decades apart and filled stadiums across the United States. Through this initiative, $125,000 was raised in support of St. Jude.
