LOS ANGELES, October 30, 2026--The Los Angeles Thunder announced its inaugural 2027 Major League Volleyball (MLV) schedule, launching a new chapter for professional women's sports in Southern California with home matches at both Honda Center in Anaheim and Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles.

The inaugural season opens at Honda Center on Thursday, January 7, against the Minnesota Forge, welcoming fans for a historic first serve and the beginning of a new professional volleyball tradition. On Wednesday, February 17, history will be made with the first-ever volleyball match played at Crypto.com Arena as the Thunder take on the DC Flight.

"Announcing our inaugural schedule makes this moment real for our athletes, our organization, and the fans who will help shape this franchise from the beginning," said Alisha Childress, Head of Competition and Head Coach of the Los Angeles Thunder. "Southern California has such a deep connection to volleyball. We can't wait to step onto the court, compete at the highest level, and build a home-court atmosphere that reflects the passion of this community."

The road schedule will see the Thunder participating in the John Cook Invitational presented by JUNKLESS, including a match against the Omaha Supernovas at John Cook Arena on February 28. The Thunder will face their Golden State rivals, the NorCal Rumble, in their home opener before facing them again two more times later in the season.

"We are about to write the next great Los Angeles sports story, with an amazing roster of athletes, passionate fans, and two iconic venues," said Lindsay Amstutz, President of the Los Angeles Thunder. "We are focused on making elite women's volleyball accessible to communities across Southern California. From our founding members to new fans of the sport, we look forward to creating new traditions and energy that will define the Thunder."

Fans can now place ticket deposits to secure first-priority access to inaugural season memberships before they become available to the general public. Each deposit will be fully applied toward the cost of the corresponding season membership, giving fans an opportunity to become Founding Members and establish their place in Thunder history.

The Thunder is led by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, majority owner and founder of the Los Angeles Times and a minority stakeholder in the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside Ben Priest, governor and managing partner. Priest helped architect Major League Volleyball and previously served as the governing owner of the Omaha Supernovas.
