Helena Dumont Acquires Specialty Metal Products d/b/a SMP Supply

Houston, Texas distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, and flanges joins the Helena Dumont portfolio

HOUSTON, October 30, 2026--Helena Dumont, LP ("Helena Dumont"), a private investment platform based in Houston, Texas, today announced that it has acquired Specialty Metal Products, LLC, doing business as SMP Supply ("SMP Supply" or the "Company"), a distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, and flanges (PVF) headquartered in Houston, Texas. The transaction closed on October 19, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1987, SMP Supply provides commodity and specialty PVF products and valve assembly services to industrial and energy customers. The Company has grown by combining product knowledge, creative thinking, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to serve its customers before, during, and after the sale.

SMP Supply will continue operating under its current name from its Houston headquarters, with its employees remaining in their current roles. The Company's founders will transition out of the business following the closing. Adam Britt, the Company's interim Chief Executive Officer, together with Michelle Russell and Keith Thomas, will lead SMP Supply's day-to-day operations, supported operationally and administratively by the Helena Dumont team.

Fifth Third Bank, National Association, served as senior lender for the transaction. Stephens Inc. served as financial advisor and Winstead PC served as legal counsel to Helena Dumont. BDO USA performed due diligence.
