Budapest, Hungary, October 21, 2026: Armor Games Studios and Game in a Bottle today launched GemCraft Legacy Collection on Steam, bringing GemCraft, GemCraft: Chapter Zero, and GemCraft: Labyrinth together for the first time in a single package. If you ever lost an evening (or a whole weekend) to forging gems in a browser window, you’re going to feel right at home with this one!

For everyone who grew up on Flash
Before mobile games and live-service everything, there were browser tabs, a game that took a few seconds to load, and a nagging feeling that you could survive one more wave if you just combined those gems differently. GemCraft became one of the most beloved tower defense series of the Flash era, and its mix of deep gem-forging, mana management, and brutal difficulty kept players coming back for years.
The Legacy Collection keeps what made those games feel the way you remember, and removes the things that used to make you sigh.
What's in the collection
- GemCraft: the original that started it all, where you create, combine, and slot gems into towers and traps to defend your wizard tower
- GemCraft: Chapter Zero: the prequel, with endless replay value, new modes, shrines, and hidden levels
- GemCraft: Labyrinth: the series' most customizable entry, with total freedom over the modes you play
A very long list of improvements
The Legacy Collection is much more than a port. Working closely with the community, the team made dozens of quality-of-life and performance upgrades across all three games, including:
- Speed control that doesn't fight you: fast-forward up to 9x with a proper slider, separate play, pause, and fast-forward buttons, and the ability to place gems, bomb, use shrines, and call waves while paused
- Painless progression: refund a skill point instantly with Shift+Click, and use the mouse wheel to move skills one level at a time
- Hotkeys end to end: a wide range of keyboard shortcuts for speed, waves, combining, bombing, and skill points, consistent across all three games
- Late-game performance that holds up: smarter enemy rendering, faster targeting and pathing, and optional adaptive graphics that adjust settings if your FPS dips, so huge waves and mana-farming runs stay smooth
- Modern screen support: upscaled art, adaptive resolution, and separate window-size and fullscreen-sharpness settings, so the games look right on a modern display
- A Steam-ready package: an achievement for every in-game achievement, cloud saves, a single volume slider for the whole collection, and the old website-era buttons and links cleaned out
