Press release

Developed using Godot, EVILGARD brings the atmosphere and progression of classic MMORPGs into an adventure designed to be played entirely on your own. The journey begins on the harbour island of Morgenwacht, with handcrafted quests, exploration, tactical party combat, and a persistent world.

The game combines its fantasy setting with dry humour about familiar RPG conventions. Certain encounters also introduce unexpected changes of pace, including top-down naval combat and an experimental point-and-click section.

EVILGARD is available to wishlist on Steam, with Early Access planned from mid-November 2026. Current development focuses on expanding Morgenwacht into a connected level 1–10 adventure, alongside balancing and polish. Future plans include four story companions, further classes and subclasses, active crafting, expanded dungeons, economic actors, and additional regions. These features will be developed over time and are not all promised for the initial Early Access release.

The press kit provides downloadable development screenshots, key art, game facts, and press texts in English and German. All gameplay images show work in progress.
