From geodomes to yurts, the property near Austin will welcome vacation club owners and guests in early 2027

ORLANDO, Fla., October 23, 2026--Travel + Leisure Co. (NYSE: TNL), a leading leisure travel company, today announced its purchase of The Cedars Ranch in Wimberley, Texas, which it will rebrand to Eddie Bauer Adventure Club – Texas Hill Country, the first "Outpost" in the Eddie Bauer Adventure Club portfolio. The 20-acre property sits among mature live oaks in the heart of Texas Hill Country, less than an hour outside Austin. Reservations for vacation club owners and guests will open in early 2027, with stays anticipated to begin in summer 2027 at the new Outpost's 21 accommodations, including geodomes, yurts and cabins. Plans are also in development to expand the property in a future phase.

Outposts are distinctive Eddie Bauer Adventure Club properties designed to bring travelers closer to nature, where the landscape becomes part of the stay rather than just the view from the window. More intimate than the Club's resort-style Basecamps, Outposts will range from modern cabins and lodges to tiny homes and other one-of-a-kind accommodations, with additional locations planned in destinations across the country.

"An Outpost is about getting closer to the places that inspire you," said Sarah Koves, SVP, Brand Strategy at Travel + Leisure Co. "In Wimberley, Eddie Bauer Adventure Club owners can spend the day cycling Hill Country roads or exploring nearby towns like Fredericksburg and New Braunfels, then return to a quiet retreat under the live oaks. It's a true choose-your-own-adventure destination, and the perfect place to introduce Outposts to our owners."

Inside the First Outpost

Eddie Bauer Adventure Club – Texas Hill Country pairs a sense of adventure with easy access to the best of the Hill Country. The property feels a world away yet sits within easy reach of Austin, Fredericksburg, and the region's small towns, letting owners decide how much adventure they want each day, from full days out on the road to slow mornings on property.

At the Outpost, owners can gather around firepits, cook in outdoor camp kitchens, explore the onsite trail, and challenge friends to bocce, pickleball and yard games. The property's existing main event space will become an owners' lounge with self-serve retail, offering a place to relax and pick up essentials. Accommodations blend modern architecture with sustainable solar power.

Beginning in early 2027, Eddie Bauer Adventure Club owners can use their club credits to book stays at the new Outpost via app, with visits expected to begin in summer 2027. Rental stays are also expected to begin in summer 2027. Phased renovations will continue to take place throughout 2027, adding additional accommodations and enhancing resort amenities.
