Tricentis Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Agentic Software Quality Assurance Platforms
Recognized as furthest in "Completeness of Vision". Tricentis advances its agentic quality engineering vision with new AI innovations
AUSTIN, Texas, October 09, 2026--Tricentis, the global leader in agentic quality engineering, today announced it has been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Agentic Software Quality Assurance Platforms1 and positioned furthest in "Completeness of Vision." This recognition marks the second consecutive year Tricentis has been named a Leader in this report, previously published as the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI-Augmented Software Testing Tools.
Gartner defines Agentic Software Quality Assurance Platforms as autonomous or semiautonomous solutions that provide integrated, orchestrated capabilities to enable continuous, self-optimizing testing in the software development life cycle (SDLC) through the use of AI.
"Trust and quality have become the real competitive advantage as AI changes how quickly we build, buy and deploy software," said Kevin Thompson, CEO of Tricentis. "Over the past year, we've focused our investment into providing enterprises with the orchestration, context, and governance tools they need to adopt agentic quality with confidence. We believe this placement as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Agentic Software Quality Assurance Platforms, and specifically being positioned furthest in Completeness of Vision, affirms that continued strategy to meet the market's and our customers' changing needs."
As we see it, the recognition reflects Tricentis' investment in agentic quality throughout the evaluation period. In March 2026, the company launched the Tricentis Agentic Quality Engineering Platform and its Tricentis AI Workspace, which orchestrates a team of quality and testing AI agents spanning testing, automation, performance, and quality intelligence within a single control plane. Early deployments have achieved up to 60% automation of regression test grids, cut testing cycles up to 90%, increased productivity by up to 60%, and reduced performance issues in production by 90% with 2x faster text execution, giving enterprise teams a way to scale agentic quality without sacrificing human oversight.
Tricentis has continued to build on its agentic vision since the evaluation period closed. In July 2026, Tricentis acquired Tabnine, further augmenting the Tricentis Agentic Quality Engineering Platform by adding the enterprise context layer that complements the platform's existing orchestration, governance, and agent collaboration capabilities. And most recently, at Tricentis Transform in August 2026, the company unveiled its platform vision for a unified, fully autonomous quality engineering experience aimed at bringing AI agents and intelligent capabilities together to apply enterprise context across the software development lifecycle, helping enterprises build, validate, and release software with greater intelligence, speed, visibility, and control. The company also introduced Tricentis Labs, an innovation incubator that gives users early access to AI technology with the opportunity to meaningfully help shape and enhance the company's future platform through close collaboration with Tricentis.
