Every champion plays differently, and the right upgrades take the Soldier from a single AK-47 to a drone swarm, a tank and a World Serpent. The demo is free on Steam now and part of Steam Next Fest from October 19 to 26.

Suceava, Romania — October 19, 2026 — Independent team Riders of Dark Gaming is bringing Dungeon Ball to Steam Next Fest. The free demo of the neon survivors-like is available on Steam now and is part of the festival from October 19 to 26, 2026.

Dungeon Ball takes the screen-filling chaos of survivors-likes and builds it around champions. Each champion comes with their own unique abilities, and upgrades are designed to work together. The champion you pick and the upgrades you combine decide what a run turns into.

A run as the Soldier starts with a trusty AK-47. With the right upgrades, the Soldier adds a swarm of drones, a tank named Gunther that evolves into JÄGER, and a snake that evolves into the World Serpent. The Vampire plays a completely different game, with a freshly reworked Fear ability. The demo includes three champions: the Soldier, the Vampire and the Spartan.

"We kept adding upgrades until the Soldier had a tank, a drone swarm and a World Serpent on screen at the same time. Things got a little out of hand, and that's exactly how we want every run to feel," said Gabriel-Cristian Policiuc, CEO of Riders of Dark Gaming.

KEY FEATURES
- Champions that change the game. Every champion has their own unique abilities, so switching champions changes how you play.
- Synergies that snowball. Upgrades are built to combine, and the right mix turns a small build into total chaos.
- Evolutions. Keep upgrading and your arsenal evolves: drones become a swarm, Gunther becomes JÄGER and the Snake becomes the World Serpent.
- A neon arena. Glowing hordes, screen-filling effects and kill counts that climb into the thousands.

PLAY IT AT STEAM NEXT FEST
During Steam Next Fest, players can try the demo for free, wishlist Dungeon Ball on Steam and join the Riders of Dark Gaming Discord to share their builds.

Dungeon Ball is coming to PC on Steam, with the full release planned for November 2026.
