Decision Tactical To Turn Simulation Inside Out at IACP 2026

Decision Tactical, Central Florida’s only indoor tactical center with live, adaptive simulation training, is pleased to announce that it will offer law-enforcement leaders an early look at Matrix, its new modular training technology, during the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference and Exposition (IACP) in Orlando, Florida, from October 24-27, 2026.

Matrix was developed around a simple premise: the training should not conform to a simulator; the simulator should adapt to the training.

The technology Decision Tactical used to develop Matrix places responsive digital characters throughout an actual building, allowing officers to move through real physical environments as scenarios develop around them. Matrix operates without headsets, glasses or projectors, giving agencies the ability to incorporate the layout, distances and physical characteristics of real locations into scenario-based training.

“Law enforcement officers don’t work inside simulator rooms, so we began asking why so much simulation training still has to take place in one,” said Remo Eyal, CEO and Co-founder of Decision Tactical. “Matrix is our answer to that question. It’s designed to bring the simulation into the environment where the training actually needs to happen.”

Decision Tactical will give conference attendees an early introduction to Matrix at IACP 2026, ahead of a broader product launch. The system combines real movement with responsive digital characters while eliminating continuous scenario operations required from instructors, allowing officers to remain focused on the encounter while trainers devote more attention to observing performance, decision-making and communication.

Matrix is also designed to give agencies more flexibility in where scenarios can take place. Training can extend into a variety of real-world spaces, including buildings an agency may someday be responsible for protecting, without the use of marking rounds or projectile-based training that could damage the location.

According to Decision Tactical, Matrix aims to make scenario training realistic, easy and quickly repeatable. The technology’s fast and simple operation provides officers additional opportunities to encounter scenarios, review their performance and apply what they learned during subsequent repetitions.

“Much like an iPhone, the Matrix system is incredibly advanced, but very easy to use,” said Eyal. “It operates autonomously, giving trainers the time and focus to train.”

Decision Tactical already provides scenario-based law enforcement training at its 43,000-square-foot facility in Sanford, FL, where officers train in fully built-out environments designed to replicate the movement, uncertainty, and decision-making of real-world encounters.
