Second consecutive CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award recognizes Bluefin's continued innovation in payment security, simplifying the deployment of PCI-validated encryption across complex payment environments.

ATLANTA, October 19, 2026--Bluefin, a global leader in payment and data security, today announced that its TrustConex™ solution has been named the 2026 Transaction Security Solution of the Year in the 10th annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards program. The solution, formerly known as PointConex, was recognized for its innovative approach to simplifying payment security and enabling organizations to deploy PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) across existing payment environments.

The recognition marks Bluefin's second consecutive CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award, following its 2025 win for ShieldConex® Orchestration, reinforcing the company's commitment to advancing technologies that protect sensitive payment data while addressing the operational complexities of modern payment infrastructure.

As payment ecosystems become increasingly interconnected, merchants, payment processors and technology providers face growing pressure to strengthen transaction security without disrupting existing systems or introducing costly integration requirements. TrustConex addresses this challenge through a flexible, processor-agnostic architecture that enables organizations to integrate PCI-validated P2PE into their existing payment environments without extensive application changes or EMV recertification.

Unlike generic end-to-end encryption implementations, PCI-validated P2PE protects cardholder data within a validated security framework spanning the point of interaction, encryption and key management, and the secure decryption environment. TrustConex brings those protections into existing payment environments while preserving processor flexibility.

"Merchants have been told for years that real payment security means ripping out systems that already work," said Ruston Miles, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Bluefin. "TrustConex proves they do not have to choose. It encrypts card data at the point of capture using PCI-validated P2PE, without extensive application changes or another round of EMV certification, while separating the security layer from the processor relationship. Put simply, we devalue the data and free the stack. That is what this recognition means to us: better security with more freedom."

TrustConex extends Bluefin's PCI-validated P2PE capabilities through a proxy-based architecture designed to simplify deployment and integration across complex payment ecosystems. Key capabilities include:
