Antidote Health Expands into Texas and Georgia, Bringing Affordable Coverage and $0 Virtual Care to New ACA Shoppers
For Plan Year 2027, digital health insurer adds on-exchange individual coverage in 18 Texas counties and 28 Georgia counties, which employers can fund through CHOICE arrangements, along with small group plans for Texas employers with 2-50 employees.
NEW YORK, October 21, 2026--Antidote Health, an Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurer, announced today that its affiliated health plans, Antidote Health Insurance Company of Texas, Inc. and Antidote Health Plan of Georgia, Inc., will offer coverage in Texas and Georgia for Plan Year 2027. The expansion brings Antidote Health's integrated health coverage and virtual primary care model to help new communities get the care they need early and stay healthier.
Antidote Health will offer on-exchange individual and family health insurance plans (IFP) in 18 Texas counties and 28 Georgia counties. In Texas, the company will also launch small group coverage for employers with 2 to 50 employees, providing small businesses with an affordable option to offer meaningful health benefits while giving employees access to Antidote Health's integrated care model. The individual plans will also be available to employees through CHOICE Arrangements, the name the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the U.S. Small Business Administration adopted in September 2026 for Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs). With a CHOICE Arrangement, an employer of any size sets a tax-free contribution, and each employee selects the individual Antidote plan that best meets their needs while the employer helps fund the coverage.
"Employers want to offer meaningful health benefits without the cost unpredictability of a one-size-fits-all group plan," said Jike Chong, General Manager. "A CHOICE Arrangement lets an employer set its budget and lets each employee choose the plan that fits them. For smaller businesses that prefer a group plan, our small group coverage brings the same model to teams of 2 to 50. Either way, employees get coverage that is easier to use and connected to everyday care."
"People shouldn't have to choose between seeing a doctor and paying their bills," said Avihai Sodri, Co-Founder and CEO of Antidote Health. "For too many families, this is still a reality. We believe the most effective way to make health coverage affordable is to help people stay healthy. When seeing a doctor is easy and $0, people get care sooner; chronic conditions are managed before they become emergencies, and avoidable costs come down. We've built that model in Ohio and Arizona, and we're bringing it to communities across Texas and Georgia."
